Welcome Rakuwoman and spouse. Being RVM100 is a special number in mutantdom. It entitles you to go first at the celebration of mutants in Hot Springs, AR to take the karaoke stage following the opening ceremony led by RVM1 and RVM2. You are responsible for setting the bar very, very high.

Ya gotta come over to Arkansas and meet us in April. 1 day, 2 days, or 7 days it doesn't matter. Just allow us to attach a face to a name.

Welcome

Yeah, and also watch out for the one with not one, but two theme songs. I'm sure he'll sing his own praises for you soon. Woncha, Wayne?

I'm Sue #36 and I'm the shy and retiring type. Good at FIM, too. No current pets, lots of watercolor paints and pencils, yarn (some of which I make myself), books, fabrics .... I'd never make it as a fulltimer, but we're almost halftimers and can barely fit our (mostly my) stuff in here.

We're taking a Raku class later on this winter, so I'd like to hear your experience with them, too.

A big mutant welcome to you, and congrats on being the proud possessor of our very first 3-digit number. Looking forward to many posts.

You have read posts #1-10 or so on this thread, have you not? They explain a lot!

Hope to see you sooner rather than later, possibly in April in Hot Springs. Feel free, in the meantime, to be as silly here as you'd like. You'll fit right in!

Cheers!

Just was watching "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". There was an interesting scene with the following motto

To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other and to feel. That is the purpose of life.

Just seemed an appropriate rumination for a mutant kinda person.

I suppose parcel is a subset of a curiosity... a number greater 3... but I will need to look at the ancient scrolls to be sure...

I immediately thought of a Raku-o-ribs but being there's classes and we mutants don't need no lessons on eating I guess my pending possible ponder pooped plenty didn't it?

So now all that aside welcome to this stupendous silly sitting setting and just what the heck is Raku?

Geriatric Google is outta kilter today.

Must be a virus in the Kanukistan google site. If it means raku ware, I think it is downright nifty!

I had a dog back in the 70s that I named Racku because she had a racoon face ... and it was the early 70s and I was 20. I later learned she was part Papillon. I haven't thought about her for ages until Rakuwoman joined us. Thanks RVM100!
