Di - we did our shopping yesterday and Tuesday was farmers market day.
Fed Ex came a moment ago and Annie has some green beans and turnips bubbling away. I have a pound of pinto beans for Charro beans in the cockpot this weekend. It's 40 now and the wind isn't as strong.

Weren't the big one but we passed the test, I think!

Dennis, do you think maybe all the shakin' going on is telling ya something? Like maybe it's time to get your hinney outta there?

Steve, me thinks that some folks aren't as free wheeling as others, some folks' circumstances just won't allow them to schedule (commit) to an adventure 3-5 months in the future, and others are simply still pondering the possibility.
We can help some by explaining, once again, the cancellation procedure at Catherine's Landing. We can promise that cancellation during the last month before the event will NOT be a character blemish. We all know that plans sometimes have to change at the last minute. But, to line up along side fellow mutants they need to reserve a spot in the "mutant zone" near the pavilion.
We can also continue to "chat" among the mutants reiterating the fond memories we have of the FEGC@CL. Placing faces to names is so rewarding and interesting (even mine).
The alternate mutant website is still up and running. Interested folks can look at the pictures of the last GC.
I, for one, am glad that I met all of the great mutants at the FEGC.

Di - These are all straight coffee - I do sometimes put Vanilla syrup in mine and half and half... These are from different parts of the world, regions etc and different roast levels - mild - medium and dark. I love coffee... I have not found that buying these Vacuum sealed bags in bulk is causing it to lose strength or aroma. I usually buy 11 to 15 bags online at a time from Starbucks - which gets me free shipping and I find a code for saving - this round was 20% off.
11 bags at $113.96 and did it on the Galaxy S5...

I look at it this way. Vancouver Island literally gets hundreds of quakes a week, once as many as 30 in one afternoon. So with all that mini c rumbling I don't expect that we are anywhere near a midi or maxi c event. (notice the use of mutant vernacular) When the big one comes, it comes and there ain't nothing I can do about it. Where I once lived back in Eastern Canada (Near Tina's place) they had a bigger earthquake which caused more damage than any we've had here. When the times right and your number comes up it will.
We are considering moving from the Island but we would still remain in BC. I just want to be $500.00 closer to the rest of you lot.
Thanks for caring.

Dennis - we want you closer too but don't want you to have to paddle or swim.
Also - isn't the Epi-C the place to avoid...

What I really like to do on days like this is to make yeast bread, or rolls, or cinnamon rolls, etc.... Not gluten free, not calirie free, but good.... I buy yeast at sams club in big double pkg..... And use it all..... Cornbread for soup, so might do some reading instead... Or a movie...
Or even write on this thread.....
Steve, i think that probably the ones that are coming to CL, probably already have reservations... With Bokobird I count 18, but Tom and Jan are not on my list....
Has anyone heard ftom Chuck? I am concerned... As I am sure many are. Sure wish he woukd let us know what is what.....
Havent heard from Colleen and Hunter either.... Will pm her....

Remind me not to drink your version of coffee when we meet.
I buy vacuum sealed cans in three pound amounts.
Last purchase was 4 cans for about $20

Epi-C is definitely not somewhere we want to be.
