I only have 1 dog myself and she runs in and out whenever I open the door for her... but I have clients I dogwalk for... and have 3 today I'll go walk but think I'll wait until noonish ... hopefully it will be a few degrees warmer and they'll get their business done quickly! Some of them have short coats and don't care for the really cold windy weather anymore than I do. I don't mind when it's not windy.

Back in MN, our dachshund would disappear into the snow and come back quickly. No idea how he did his "business".

MPH,
I would like to express my deepest condolences on your return to w--k. I too w--k and understand fully the disturbance to ones life and leisure. It seems at times that surgery is a truly deserved break because one can pretend that it is retirement if only prematurely. It just sucks having to have the surgery.
As you continue to dream of retirement and following your dreams please know that others are with you in your struggle to endure the w--k ritual that unfortunately is still a must at this juncture in life.
I will pray for your fast retirement and ask that you pray for mine. Three years and counting down the days. January 7, 2018 to be precise.
Stay safe and happy! Lynne RVM 105

Some folks like what they do to earn life funds. Sometimes, I think Bob won't retire very soon... when he was younger, he was all gung ho on retiring early...like at 45 or so, but the market crash back in late 80's changed his plans.... now he seems to enjoy his place of employment and when I ask it always seems to be pushed back another year or 2. Maybe he thinks I'm trying to compile some sort of humongous "honey do" list... He isn't fond of those...but I suspect underneath it all... he isn't at all sure what the market is going to do for the next 40 some years and it has him worried about squirreling away enough to last.
edited to add... if he just liked vegetables... we would have it made.. I can grow those out the wazzo and can what we can't eat for the snowy months!
