Barb & Mel's mini C at Palo Duro Canyon State Park

We didn't take very many pictures, sadly; but enough to prove that we had a mini-c! It was wonderful to have my sis and BIL join us. They have that Mutant spirit, and, of course, loved Barb, Sena and Lily!

Top photo is of the little PD park office, built by the CCC in the 30s. Barb loved it! Second photo: My BIL, Michael, giving Sena a drink out of her own water bottle.
Third pic: Native plants in front of park office
Fourth pic: Mel, Barb, Sena and Lily in front of Bow on our last day at PD

Of course, we invented the idea of wrapping bacon around fresh sweet corn, pulling the shucks back up around the ear and roasting them on the coals. YUM! (Truth is, neither Barb or I had any butter in our fridges. But, didn't need it ... I brought BACON!)

Next pic is of the historical marker (near the park office) that tells about Charles Goodnight,

Last one ... no explanation needed. We're at a "two-holer."

There ya go, oh ye Great Potentater; PROOF of our mini-c!

Looks like you picked three winners.
Scotch is the refreshment of choice when it comes to Cs. Mini, midi or maxi.
Scotch is the one great ice breaker.

LOVE that, Dennis! And the Toy Run should be on national news. What a fantastic event. I'm so glad you shared about it.

Today marks the 4th anniversary of my departure from sedentary life to traveling the country with Sena (Lily joined us 2.5 mo later) in our home on wheels. Several people have asked me if I'm ready to stop. NO WAY!

Mel, we have the same thing here in this area and you have it up in the big city's near you. One of them is the Toys For Tots MC Run that provided toys for needy children around Christmas time. Hundreds of bikers form up in League City, TX and make the run.

Then there is the Shriner run. Again hundred of bikers form up in League City and make a toy run to Galveston's Shriners hospital. Now I can guuaaarantee that you would have tears in your eyes when you get to the hospital. Children of all ages with severe burns. You wonder why your own life has been so good. If only for that one day all of your pains will disappear.

There are many other runs to church function, old folks homes, etc. going on all the time.

These same type of biker activities are done all over the U.S.

p.s., This weekend hundreds of bikers will be putting flags on the graves of our Heroes that are buried at Houston National Cemetery.

Hooray! As someone has said: Its been a long strange journey. Some of us aren't done yet! Glad you're back up to par.

We are still Jeepless for another 3 or 4 weeks, and Bella hasn't even begun her restoration. Checks are in, though, the estimate ones, at least.
