It's about 40 miles west of Bozeman. You take hwy 2 south to the Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park. You have to pay for a day pass for the park and then pay for the caverns. It is a hike to get to the entrance up hill and the caverns take you around 500+ feet underground. There are lots of steps inside and lots of places where you have to duck. At one point, there is a small slide where you have to sit down and push yourselves thru. It was a beautiful cave and the bats kept dive bombing the guide. I will post a pic later.

We are in Bozeman. Got the kids off on the plane early this morning. DH is taking a nap before heading to Missoula and then along hwy 12 to Orofino. Not sure if we'll spend the night near Missoula or go on home.

So many troubles in "Mutantville"! So sorry to hear.

Not sure if I've shared this poem I wrote to my wife 20 years ago but somehow seems app repo to post. We went through a real difficult time and my wife asked me how I could deal with it all. I told her I guess I have an Inner Strength. I got up the next morning and wrote this for her and left it on the table for her to read.
It's since been published in 2 books and I'm told many friends and relatives have shared it with their peeps in need all over the world.
Some may find comfort in the words.

Inner Strength

There are times like these

You could drop to your knees,

As you wonder how much you can take.

But as some people know

With their troubles in tow,

There is always a choice
they can make.

To drown in our sorrows,

Saps up our tomorrows,

And makes everything in our lives
 seem bleak.

So, just count your blessings

And not your misgivings,

And somehow you'll not feel so weak.

Just change what you can,

Put the rest on a shelf,

And keep misery at an arm's length.

For it's the wealth of those

Who can conquer their woes,

that's the secret to "Inner Strength!"

Travel day with lots to do first so a quick hit here...

Safe travels to all on the rainbow.

Steve and Mary Ann please update when ya can. We will keep the Ommms coming.

Mel - when are sending the Strength of Character Ommms to your son. It's a difficult time and so lucky to have such loving care givers as you and Mel to help lift him up. Ommms.

Di - I will pull out the goggles. Mad Max has nothing on us.

Tim - TV is pretty much an afterthought for us. We find ourselves sitting at the picnic table or doing something else at 9 pm and most programing is over. Repeats galore.

Gotta run. Everybody have fun and wang Chung tonight.

Many will gain comfort from your wise words.
Thanks!

Thanks but there ain't no way I'm climbing up a hill to slide into a cave. I do all my spelunking from the outside and rue the day I have to go into a cave for any reason. I have developed this insane fear of being located anywhere that has several million tons of dirt over my head. I'll be forced to live vicariously through your pictures,

I feel so helpless. They're in Michigan. So far away. My heart is breaking for him and a strong sleeping pill at 10:00 still hasn't knocked me out. We love our DIL dearly. It seems surreal that we are losing her ... that Michael is losing her .... It's heartbreaking. Please pray for Michael. He is in such a vulnerable place right now.

Mel
Mel, your son and DIL are getting a divorce, you are not divorcing your DIL.
Earlene has 3 DIL's and only 2 sons. She has always said that she did not divorce my youngest son's wife, they divorced. For your son, time heals many wounds. Somewhere down the time line he will find another love of his life. Tell him to stop weeping, it's over, and today is the first day of the rest of his life. It is better to get the divorce than to stay and possibly be miserable. Good luck to him.

Yep! Life is very funny, then Mary married you and it got hilarious. Or was it a joke.

We are at the rest area just before the Colorado / New Mexico border. We can hang around a bit if anyone is in Mini-C distance.
