Mort was mortified by Queen Wein.

Les you should post pictures of Queen Wein and Bruce the attack cat.

Hot here but actually not too bad for Texas. 65 this morning but warmed up fast.

Well you get that weather cooled on down, we're kicking around a more southern route on our way home. I'm guessing that hwy 287 would bring us down around Paris. How's that Rv park there in town, safe and suitable?

It's not bad, not fancy just the basics. We had some friends come through last fall and they said the people running it were friendly and the site was level and shady.
We would love to see you and Mary.

The verdict: $435 for the tow which was reimbursed by our insurance immediately the next day. $4300 estimate for the exciter ring on the truck. We have an extended warranty on the truck but when the mechanic called, they may or may not pay for the repair. It all depends on whether the bolts were sheared off or just came loose. Ohmms for the insurance to cover it!!! We got our trailer back home yesterday with the help of a friend. Now we are in the wait and see mode. It is 20 hrs just to have the mechanic tear down the truck to get to the part. Then the adjuster will be called in.

Even with all this, we really enjoyed ourselves in Bryce and it was a blast getting to know the mutants there. You guys really are the best.

Goodness prevails in the NW

You've followed the continuing saga of my MH tires. Well . . . . called Phelps Tire in Renton (from whom we ordered a new Michelin before the bald tire debacle). A truly delightful soul and manager named Alyson agreed to my offer of buying 4 Samson for the rear axle (same size as newly mounted Falken tires on the front axle) if somehow I could back out of my purchase of the 1 Michelin that did arrive from Denver warehouse.

I offered to pay the freight on the Michelin. She said "Not needed, we'll just apply all of the money you paid for the Michelin to the cost of the new Samson's. I'll send the Michelin back to Denver".

New shoes for the MH going on Tuesday morning before we leave the Seattle area.

Who's next to do the happy dance?

BTW - - - 2 lbs of shrimp in the freezer along with 2 dungenas crabs. Will eat all in a series of meals after Mary Ann's "girl weekend" concludes.

Last day at Capitol Reef NP.
I'm betting many may think the crowded NPs are better than the ones least known!

This is the "Mail Tree", a very old cottonwood in Fruita, UT. It was shady so they met the mail carrier there!

Now Tim, 287 will take you through Fort Worth/Dallas down onto I-45 and if you keep heading South on I-45 you will run into Galveston, then you will have to turn around to find home. Now if you detour onto US-82E you will drive right through Paris. Just remember turn right in Albuquerque.
