Mel, did the bridge sway when you were on it?

Diane toftSFM#64....... (The Original Fast Talking Sliding Finger Mutant) and is retired, duh!
No sway when we crossed the bridge going up and coming back down. But Michael's dgf did tell us that it is sometimes closed ... for high winds or ice.

Looks like a mini curiosity of Westies! We saw a Westie while in Grand Marais and of course thought of y'all.

Last night was the final campfire of the M&MgC. As usual a great time was had and a fine campfire, even without our award winning campfire builder (ED). Once the fire was started wood was passed out and each mutant took turns adding "Another log on the fire". The remaining 5 coaches will depart back to the rainbow today and in grand style it's raining. But to get a rainbow, it takes a little rain. Later muties!

Mutant pirates have all left Timberlands, hugs all round last night and this morning. Some of us discovered offroading as Maine-style roadworks expanded our experience & skill levels. Some of us chased a rainy weather system, while others put on sunglasses. It's the rainbow life, eh?

This has been a fab week, the best. Quite aside from the camaraderie and the amazing scenery, was the fresh shellfish Maine is famous for. Almost sated with seafood, we are carrying lobster meat for salad and the makings of a seafood pie for tonight's supper. (Dangit! I'm making myself hungry!)

I'll miss y'all and look forward to the next time. Campfires & laughter await. Travel safely, y'all.

From Earlene:

"Someone just moved into the empty spot next to us, darn it. I still have a pretty fair view from my window but I sure wish we had been assigned that one instead. Oh, well, it is just a blessing to end our West Coast journey with such a beautiful site. Besides, the patio side has no RV sites next to it. Imagine the sunsets. Wow!

Miya invited me to swim but I passed. It's a bit too cold for me. The forecast is for cooler temps the rest of the week."
