Good morning mutants near and far! It's raining again in Central Illinois... seems to be a daily occurrence these days. It's gone from hot, humid and dew soaked to just plain soaked. Today I will try to get us reservations on down the road. It's time to go.

Tomorrow we explore the beach for shells and then sand castle building.
P.S. I'm not going near the water. Every time I'm sitting near the ocean's water, a bunch of "do gooders" try to help me back into the water.

I doubt one needs or uses deodorant when one lives up with the polar bears and eskimos...
French women rarely use deodorant... they just wash a lot.
I got in your car with only coconut oil for deodorant on... I heard no complaint.

We have a rain forecast for every day this week and next... might put a damper on the labor day crowd...

By the shores of Gitche Gumee,
By the shining Big-Sea-Water,
Stood the wigwam of Nokomis,
Daughter of the Moon, Nokomis.
Dark behind it rose the forest,
Rose the black and gloomy pine-trees,
Rose the firs with cones upon them;
Bright before it beat the water,
Beat the clear and sunny water,
Beat the shining Big-Sea-Water.
We are here..... For 3 nights... High tomorrow is 72....

The RV park that can handle our size of group is:
FREDERICKSBURG KOA
5681 East US Highway 290
Fredericksburg, TX 78624
(830) 997-4796
fdbgkoa@beecreek.net
All member’s must call to make their reservations and at the time of reservation they will give you a 10% discount on the rate too.
So to make reservations you need to call (830) 997-4796. Let them know you are part of the RVMutant Rally.
There is no river that runs through or by it, but Lady Bird Johnson Park is not far away from this RV park and you can fish there. I am looking for river access for canoeing etc. too.
Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park
3 miles South of Fredericksburg on Hwy. 16 S (Call park for directions, GPS is not always accurate). Baseball and softball fields, swimming pool, tennis courts, picnic tables and fishing, nature trail
The crown jewel of Fredericksburg’s recreational parks is the 150 acre Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. Rolling hills and rambling Live Oak Creek set the stage for a beautiful day. It is a place to rest, relax and enjoy nature. Five pavilions (four with barbecue pits) serve as the spot for birthday parties, class and family reunions, school field trips, wedding and more. Baseball/softball fields are available for a casual game or can be reserved. A sand volleyball court and outdoor basketball courts are available. The park offers a beautiful setting for large and small groups no matter the occasion.

This is my neck of the woods I grew up in the TX hill country. The LBJ ranch is cool to see there is a winery around every corner. If you ride over to kingsland TX there is longhorn cavern and on that same road is a real German castle. There is a river called the Guadalupe River that thousands of people tube down but that time of year it will be very very cold it is spring fed.

It's 10:40. It's Saturday. It's hot. This pansy chickened out on going to the beach area again today. I felt like a burger on a grill yesterday. I had to retreat to the AC in the car a few times. I stayed in the shade and under picnic pavilions while DW and GSs had fun on the white sand.
Tomorrow we move on. First we stop by my sister's place in Lakeland. One of my nephews is visiting her so it will be nice to catch up on their lives. Later in pm we get to campground near Legoland. Monday and Tuesday in Legoland and/or water park. Wednesday is a CG pool day. Thursday we head home.
Safe travel for all fellow mutants that are on the road. Ohms to those in need. Ohms specifically aimed at Annie's parents.
BTW, half of the sand in Florida is on our MH floor. LOL My job today is to remove some of it.
