Praise the Lord

I'm overjoyed that it doesn't appear to be my sister Sandy's last days here on earth. Visited her yesterday and found that she was rallying in her battle to defeat her many issues. Especially the aspirating caused pneumonia.

What was five separate bags of antibiotics has become 3. She opened her eyes to the sound of my voice. She knew me. Her speech is stilled so garbled that you "catch" about 3 words out of 7. Three is sometimes enough to know the subject of most sentences.

She was moved to a regular room late yesterday. All nutrition will, in the future, be delivered by feeding tube. She said she was afraid that she was going to die on Tuesday, so I guess she wants to fight for a few more months or years.

Will keep you informed if things change. OMG thanx for you kind thoughts, words, and offering up of prayers for Sandy. You're a good batch of mutants.

Sure is quiet in mutantdom today.

Steve - Good news about sis! We'll keep the Ommms generator on high for all of you.

We have done little to nothing in our 6 nights here. We were just talking about how much we needed to decompress after being compressed (Dave) in Central Illinois. We move a full 125 miles tomorrow warming up for long 180 miles to Santa Fe the next day for a week.

We have done a little site seeing but not seeking out the touristy stuff. Just living on the rainbow. We're not to far from Royal Gorge which we've done before. I do want to take Annie to the AF Academy Cadet Chapel but we'll probably do that in the spring.

Again - good news. Thanks for posting.

Ahh! Much like counting and recounting. Nifty!
Any hanging chads?

Shara's Ode To Mutants is poetic art direct from her dear heart!
I'd love to a ton more of that

That's downright, outright nifty and Mutant!

In spect, there can be many PoWs yet to come (I hope) from more RVMs. I can't wait to review them in retrospect.
Hmmmmm, but how can you review them before you view them? That I do not understand.

Much like the ad for some medicine tonight - it said it reduces remission which to me means there was originally a mission to become ill. So that's todays lesson - if you do not set a mission to be ill you will not have to worry about any remission from said illness!

PapaSteve... that is happy for family who aren't ready to let go. Her choice of words reveals maybe some part of her was not as ready to be done as she originally thought. Peace and continued prayers for all involved in this time.

Ok, that makes a little paint seem less of a disaster. My 19 going on 3 year old thanks you for putting this latest incident into perspective. All 2 year olds get into trouble. But having the terrible twos last for most of her 35-40 year life expectancy makes Sena's antics exasperating.

How old is she? Unfortunately the things that help ease terrible twos aren't going to work on a Capuchin....

Oh but it gives the rest of us a smile and a chuckle.......
especially after seeing grands yesterday, youngest is two.

On DIL parents, not good at all. Her mom who has had cancer for a year and had a brain surgery three weeks ago has undergone radiation, they are still only giving her 6 months..... her Dad who was diagnosed a week ago has a 10"x10"x10" tumor, in his chest, they gave him a couple of months w/wo chemo.... while I am not close to her parents, i hate it for DIL.... and like Marty has said, i think it is harder because she knows... but we did have a conversation with other DiL, the psyc dr, about talking about death with the kids.

But here is yesterday... could not get sweet faces.....

Why look sweet for a pic when silly faces are more fun?

The well grounded man:

Taking a break from watching those bums (Titans) getting beat up by Detroit. No love in Smashville today.

Not much activity so far today, maybe everyone else is watching a winning team
