I'm so happy you are sohapi, and we will arrive Fredericksburg the afternoon of the 28th and depart on the 8th.

Will be following your Florida adventure this year - although we will likely be in AZ next winter as we will try to see some of the PNW, Idaho etc on the journey to and from the Great RVMooning! But a winter in Florida is on the list.
Hey buddy, how are you twos?

I can't seem to convince the love of my life that AZ can again be in our near future. Too many bad vibes from last year, distance from home is another, plus limitations on RV site choices away from high rent districts. If Prescott area was in play in Jan., Feb., and Mar. we would seriously reconsider.

We will probably spend a month or so in Colorado and northern Utah next summer. Lots of bucket list stuff to see and do that we've missed on previous occasions. Then on to the PNW for the RVMooning.

My eyes are still a work in progress. Seems that both eyes became "addicted" to the post op medicine, so the Doc has me on gradual decreasing doses of said eye medicine. End result hopefully is eyes that don't swell and inflame. I see him again when we return from Texas.

Our escape plan for Texas is to be out of HERE in about 15 hours. Stop in Flippen, AR for a couple of days, and then head for Fredricksburg

We're buying a trailer and we're transporting our golf cart to our CG in Florida. It should pay for itself (by saving on golf cart rental) in about 3 - 4 years. Biggest downside is driving separate vehicles to Florida and back.

Your HHR doesn't have a tow hitch?

No it does not have a hitch. If it did, my overall length of motor home, car, and trailer would be greater than the allowable length which is 65 feet. I also find towing two vehicles kind of troublesome.

The towing law charts that I have found on line have a max of 70' so I don't know how a semi tractor can tow 3 40'+trailers. A 350 pick-up truck towing a large 5th wheel camper and a 15-20' trailer full of motorized toys has to be over the maximum allowed by the charts I've seen.

Denise and I got passed by a dude and his family on I-94 when we were heading back from Minnisnowda a few years ago.
Ford 1 ton Van unit with 5 seats and a fifth wheel unit over axle: huge huge fifth wheel unit: flat deck trailer with 5 ATVs aboard all followed by a boat motor and trailer. When they pulled into a truck stop we followed them in because Mizzie needed a wee break. I asked the dude how long he was and he replied 109' 11 1/2" and I asked why he knew that so precisely and he replied if he ran out to 110' he would be breaking the law. I really don't remember where he was licensed though. I have pictures of him on a hrd drive somewhere and if I find them I will post because if there was ever a mutant this guy would qualify in aces.

Haven't heard about the shrinking GC but if there is anyone thinking of backing out let me just say this. Regardless of who, what or whom is attending a GC a mutant great time will be had. We had never planned on going, previous commitments, but wish we were. Even dispite Mr Rounds presence!

Those attending have a great time!

Time to get this show on the road! I'll be sending nightly updates to the email list. I promise to make these more interesting than last Spring's boring missives.

Wagons Ho!
Safe travels and keep us posted!
