Mel, I rarely watch any videos due to my data limits, but I had to see this guy. He is amazing! He plays from a place deep inside himself. Watching his facial expressions it's plain to see he loves to play.

Also Wayne no jeeps are going on the bus only behind it.
"Minor" stuff! Get rollin'.

Mel, no doubt about it Tommy Emmanuel is fantastic. Love listening to him.

By the way, when you come back to this area I'll have my son come to the house with his "Taylor Made" (I know you know what that is.) and you two can jam.

In the meantime Here is a video to inspire you. This young lady, Tina S and is around 16 years of age is also fantastic.

She is from France. Does it look like she is concentrating rear hard. Effortless!

Ok by request. This is the stack I built for my gen but remember if your running a gas generator you will need bigger pipe as not to add back pressure. Or you will need to rejet the carb and run the stack all the time. Easy fix run a bigger pipe. Ok so I took 2 radiator flex hose 4 hose clamps. A tripod and some pipe some double female sleeves (so you can take it apart.) And topped it off with a tractor flapper.

Thanks for digging everything out for me to see what you conjured up so neatly. I will take your advice and have ours start at the generator with 4" piping and run that to a 4" to 1 1/2" 90º elbow and go straight up from there. I have enough old sheet aluminium to fabricate a doofer to hold the thing vertical off my rook rack. Our solar should always keep my batteries charged but I like to have a backup boondocking plan.

You should see him live! With an audience, he puts it all out there. The guitar is like an extension of HIM.

Hey Barb... I was just looking at Oregon and noticed the drive to our Great RVMooning in Idanha from Salem is about 57 miles and estimated 1.5 hours. Leisurely enough pace... but noticed a little jaunt around and across Detroit Lake. Looks like gorgeous views await. I also noticed the route in from Bend appears to have to have some snow closures.

So when you visited, which way did you go...

Hi Steve,

I was doing the Oregon tour in search of a GC site within the maximum eclipse zone and stopped to look at several RV parks. I left I-84 just west of the Idaho border and traveled US-26 almost all the way to I-5. That is NOT scenic until about Sisters when the highway begins to get into the mountains. From Sisters past Idanha US-26 is georgeous. It follows the Santiam River down the mountain. Detroit Lake is also very picturesque, at least what I could see from the highway. I was there in May and there wasn't snow anywhere.

I don't recommend that route as the first 3/4 is snooze worthy. I enjoy taking I-84 thru Oregon which follows much of the Oregon Trail. There is lots of history along that route. One of my favorites is the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center just north of Baker City. It is worth a detour to see. The wagon ruts are still present on the BLM land there. I also enjoyed Crater Lake in the SE corner of the state. I'm hoping to find lots more great places in Oregon this Spring and summer.

One thing you need to be aware of in Oregon -- a high level of environmental concern. If you drink bottled water or soft drinks buy them BEFORE you get there. Oregon has a 5 cent per bottle bounty on disposables and redeeming them is not easy. We may need to make this a bring your own plate and cutlery GC. I'll see what Laurie has to say about us producing mountains of trash at group meals when I meet with her next Spring on my way north.

This is gonna be a legendary GC! If you haven't made reservations get in touch with me ASAP. We may be able to squeeze in a few more coaches. August is their busy season.

As I'm looking at the area and journeys to be had... things to be experienced, I noticed Newport and Tillamook are on my list. I can't help but wish Wayne and Earlene were going to join us. They were just there and could have given us the grand tour.

I would really like to find a place with a ocean view and to see the stacks. Oregon Coast is just so.... well, you know.

One of the things that I want to do is show Annie Port Townsend, Wa. where my aunt Bonita lived. It's a special place to me still. I never looked at park availability but should be able to get close.

Bonita Bounder seems destined to see PT.
