Yep, sounds like a plan. Another check is to take the light bulb out. It will have markings to indicate the voltage. I think you are on the right track and the RV light will work.
Thanks fo replying.

And if Jeff doesn't go there will be room for 6.
You Sir, shall be FLAMED ... lol ...

I actually put white fire wire lights under the coach last winter in Phoenix but I need to trouble shoot why they aren't getting power. So many projects, too many distractions. I recently bought 2 strobe lights to use as critter chasers after a mouse joined us in Cottonwood. One of those should work for a night light.

OK any males thinking of getting into the PTJeep make sure that Jeff has removed that brazen hussy from the back drivers side seat she is inclined to hide in. She has a renchant for causing heart attacks when one is deeply engrossed in the trail ride and not expecting a sneak attack.

I was awakened about midnight by chewing sounds coming from under the coach. This was different than when a mouse had gotten into the basement -- slower and with a different pitch. Are there porcupine in AZ? I beat on the wall beside the bed and it stopped. We went back to sleep.

Awakened again at 4 am, but no amount of wall beating or Lily's barking would make it stop. I localized the noise to the area near the onboard propane tank. So I don the headlamp, shoes and jacket prepared to do battle with the beast, or at least put mothballs out. I grabbed the broom on my way out the door.

To my amazement I still hear the same noise. Puzzled, I cautiously open the propane door. Nothing there? It's then that I notice Lily's 30 foot leash hooked through the handle beside the door.

The metal hook hitting the side of the coach was making that noise!

Well Possum, my guess is that the drama will be played out in Tucson .....

All will be solved with the new fixture designed for an RV I'm sure.
Most of the time a black and a white wire is 12v use a meter and check. check it as 110 first if it doesn't read go to 12v DC and check

Black and white would be 12v black being the hot and white the ground. 110 fixtures would all be 3 wire.

OK Denise and I have some bad news. We will definitely not be able to get to Tucson in February. It's her old brothers 75th birthday and the whole damn fambly will be gathering for an impromptu birthday party / family reunion at a date that will make it impossible for even Carl to make the journey nort5h to south and arrive in Tucson on time. So the 'single malt session would work better for me in Idanha Oregon. Play nice but above all have a great time.
