I'm a firm believer in the fact that if we listen carefully and pay attention, all the people weu need will find a way into our lives. Yesterday it happened again.

So here's the story -- I ordered a recumbent trike on AliExpress.com which is basically eBay for goods made in China. I found this trike --

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Thre...b-129e32eec153

Even with shipping it was $1,000-1,500 less than anything I could find like it from a US bike shop. AND... they are all made in China, anyway. So my Trike left China on 1/20 and arrived here in Q on 1/23!

January 23 was the first day that this factory was closed for a 3 week Chinese New Year holiday. What I didn't realize was that my trike would arrive unassembled, without any assembly instructions, and nobody was there to answer my email cries for HELP!

I got most of the big parts together and it arrived with the disc brakes on the wheels, but I was left with connecting the brake lines, mounting the derailleur and the chain, etc.

Our RVM resident cycling expert sent me some very helpful links, Thanks, Don! but I had to go into Q in order to view the YouTube videos.

I had just gotten back home and sat down to put what I had learned into finishing the trike when a neighboring camper walked into my site. Gary saw my trike and wanted a closer look. Rather frustrated I casually asked Gary if he knew how to mount a derailleur and chain. GARY USED TO OWN A BIKE SHOP!!!

Gary helped me finish and I finally got to ridethis morning!!! Life is good and I am GREAT!

Oh, Di! What a shock! I'm so glad Larry has care immed. available & that you have support right there! All the ommms we can generate are on your way, from us & the whole mutant family, but a person right there is even better.

But will you tell Larry, please, to stop hogging the limelight?! We love him already! We are looking forward to better news when you can share it.

Ommmms!

Lady luck was a neighbor guy that knew what to do. Nifty!
