I'm with you there, Bro!
I get 7.5 overall per the computer. My rolling load is near 10HP per 1000 lbs; 425HP and 43,000 lbs.
At about 6,000 miles of to and fro (just a benchmark), with diesel @ $2.50.....
7.5 costs $2000 while 10 costs $1500. But I'll never cry about that.

Doing a little ketchup reading and laughed out loud at Possum's post. I think Di is right about some people missing the wanderlust gene. Kate doesn't have it. I do. However, she has adapted - or rather MUTATED - and now thoroughly enjoys the rolling stone lifestyle. It helps that we now have a coach that has been relatively trouble-free. 🙂 Yay! (We highly recommend Tiffin coaches, btw.)

If anyone is in St. Louis on Easter Sunday, every year there is a car show. I will be showing my car. Usually I have the only one there. This year I put an invite to the club. Two more are going to show. One has had an interesting owner...Dwight D. Eisenhower The cars were built '39 to '52, minus '43-'45, total production 85,000.

Tell Larry that he now has something in common with Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain)as I am sure he'd get my weird humour. Looking forward to seeing you along the road, not pushing yet, but the Mooning is a possibility eh?

Love you both, dearly.

Di, you'll hear this from your team, no doubt, but I just read that the HM 3 is a baby step better in that there are fewer incidents where they need to go in later for repairs. Hurray for teams & for inservices, though, to help you sort through & learn all you need to know! Cheers!

Jump shift: Now I know what a sky island is! I'm so glad to have a name & some history to go with it. In Tucson we sit amidst 63 or 64 of them, these discrete mountain ranges that arise suddenly from flat terrain. They have been a mystery & a ponder for me every time we drive through such territory.

So, I called into AutoZone yesterday to pick up a small part to fix the screenwasher problem that Dwayne and I discussed last week. Blow me down, when I get round to the front to fit it, I find the job has already been done! Thanks Dwayne, you're a brick.

I can't make it to St Louie, but I would like to know what make your cars are. And are you going to post pics of the 3rd car? Which one was owned by DDE and when?

My lodge had an old Crosley fire truck that we used in parades. Fun times!
Yes, if you can believe it, I was a parade clown

That explains so much, I should have guessed.
