You just had to share that eh? Guess what's the possibility in our extended forecast?
Oh well it will melt as it hits the ground I hope.
Shouldn't have made that left turn at Alberquerkee last winter.

Ed, we need to know where you are and where you are headed. There are RVMs all over the country who will only know you are passing nearby if you disclose that info.
I do want to warn you about one group of scallywags -- those from Arkansas. Stop at your own risk.
And how far south? It's too hot in southern AZ so we are already headed north. Near Sedona now and headed towards Flagsatff when it gets too warm here.
And when, pray tell, are you gonna stop being Mr Fix-it? That's w#€k, you knowl. I thought you retired

Couldn't resist. FYI: i have the VIP-722 that we take with us. I do not have an antenna on the roof for satellite reception. I purchased a Winegard Carry Out antenna back in 2008 and use it. I am seriously considering installing the Winegard Trav'ler. Why? Because with the open faced antenna I would have the full functionality of the VIP-722. With the Carry Out, like any dome antenna, Only one satellite at a time and Dish uses 3 satellites. If one has Direct TV a dome will not get HD channels.
I'm going to look into the [url\https://rfmogul.com/]R F Mogul[/url] antenna system. it is about 36 pounds lighter than other systems.
If one uses the 211K or Z then I understand that the Winegard Anser antenna gets all Dish Network stations off of satellite 61.5. That may be another option.
|
Ok apparently DISH or Kingdom (don't know which one) will not do anymore updates so the Kingdom is no longer comparable with our VIP 722.
So we are now shopping for options.....

DISH has nothing to do with the controls of KingDome. Dish has been broadcasting on satellites 110, 119 and 129 for years. I'm not up on the complete operations but my CarryOut for example receives those three satellites and has been doing so since 2008.
What is the model number on your KingDome (9702, 9754 ??) Personally, if the dome is giving problems and you can update the antenna I would go with the Winegard Traveler. I have not done much research on the R F Mogul.
Do you know for sure that your KingDome is set up for DISH Network. Most KingDome antenna come packaged for DirecTV. Have you done a Check Switch after hooking up the VIP 722? After doing a check switch you should get an SW64 and be receiving all satellites. Or, KingDome has a problem.

So what all, besides the obvious salad, was on that tray? Lamb, pork, other, both? And was that flatbread to pick it up with? Roll of fabric for a fingerwiper on the side, maybe?
I'm salivating!

It was a first time for Ethiopian for us 2.
Side dishes around the outside, beef and chicken in the middle. Numbers 9 and 10 on one plate, all on an under blanket of Injera bread; rolled Injera on the side (non-GMO, and they keep it coming!) And, yes, you rip off some flat bread and grab the chow.
We found a NEW food to LOVE.

A young woman in the cg last night was giving away fresh mushrooms, gallon ziploc bags of them. Turns out, she is a truck driver & had seen 30# of them about to be discarded, so snagged them to share. Two of the 3 boxes were not clean enough for the receiving store & the 3rd had a dent in the side.
I imagine many folks here had 'shrooms for supper. We did. This afternoon I put all the smaller whole ones into a pickling mixture for later. We have to wait a whole 24 hours before serving.
Doesn't stop me taste-testing, though.
They're a bit vinegary at the moment. Just wait till the garlic & herbs take over, though. 😋😁

Spicy yes, Martha, but not hot. The spices are tongue teasingly amazing. From Ethiopian chefs and servers to our table, and totally Om-Nom!

Largely my experience as well. And the "sour" bread didn't mesh with my taste buds. The first time I tried it I was sure Teff was the reason Ethiopians are so thin.
