There are 1,000s of houseboats that can be rented also.

I'm hoping to return here next Fall on my journey south. There's magic in this place!
It's on my list, too!

Nope! Never liked fishin' the opener. Too many crazies and imbibers out there to run over you or your equipment.

Landed in Roswell NM yesterday. Headed to Armadill...er, Amarillo TX tomorrow, should be back to IN by May. Went to Pizza Hut last night for dinner. Wanted a salad but they only had Ranch and Caesar dressings (don't really like either). Is this something new for the chain or just a local thing I wonder...

You're not the first mutants to have landed there... report any alien or mutant lifeform encounters...

Dave and Carol,

When in Amarillo don't miss the RV museum.

Jack Sisemore Traveland RV Museum

There is an RV park owned by the same folks. I haven't stayed there, but just thought I'd mention it. It's only $26/night.

Jack Sisemore Traveland :: Amarillo, TX

And south of Amarillo is the Palo Duro Canyon State Park. I have stayed there and it's great except their is no cell phone service. The Canyon itself is worth a day trip to see it.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park — Texas Parks & Wildlife Department

Safe travels!

Update: Dale has been having some heart problems. He was suppose to have minor surgery but they wouldn't do it at the last minute due to Afib. He got the results of some tests today and is going in tomorrow for a heart catheterization. It will either be as outpatient if there aren't any blockages or possible overnight or if serious, he will be sent to Spokane. His brother just had a 95% blockage last year. While working on geneology this week, I just discovered he had an uncle that died at age 53 in TX from heart disease.

Anyways, some prayers and ohmms are requested. Thanks.

Prayers and ohms headed your way. May the doctors' hands and minds be guided to resolve Dale's problems. 1960's "medical miracles" are becoming commonplace today. I clearly see a positive outcome for Dale. Hang tough up there in Idaho.

Hey Deb, tell Dale to behave himself tomorrow. I know how naughty these Mutant guys can be. With all these guys, and Queen Ann, having heart issues we may just have to add a new category of Ohmmms just to keep them well covered.

So what do you think Hohmms or Heartohmms?

Hi Barb,

Stayed in Amarillo on our way out West back in December. Not warm! Did see the RV museum, ate at the Big Texan (not the 72 oz. steak though). Sprayed a little paint at the Cadillac Ranch.

At this point we're retracing our path back to Indiana. Plan to be there by early May to surprise DGS for his birthday by showing up unexpectedly. Will stop in Effingham IL for a few days to visit my brother & his DW.
