That would work. Hmmm. If I stay where it's warm, I may never need to change back. Lol

Coach is 2008 and since purchase we had one latch break on a big "pot&pan" drawer close to the floor. Latch was closed when shut and it broke. Drawer would not stay closed when turning corners, etc. Went to Fastenal and bought same latch and some spares. Added a second latch to that drawer and it has never come open again while traveling. I still have the spares as no other drawer latch has broken.

I don't have a problem with them anymore.

Amazon Link

They make a heavy duty one also.

Wayne do you think it might be the operator causing these other mutants to have problems with the latches?

Instructions for mutants:

To open drawer grasp handle and pull out. To close drawer reverse the process!

There, that should settle future problems.

Weren't you the one that lead the repair of one of mine with magnets. That's the best fix methinks. We put two on the one the wood stripped out on. I did some reading and found the small plastic ones have 5 lb pull and large ones have 8. Turns turn the magnets have 8lbs too and with one on each side of the drawer, it's not coming open, and isn't going to break.

I found RV Upgrades sells a pack of 2 strikers, one small and one large, for $4.80. I have a collection of female latches and large strikers but No small strikes cause they break most often.

And I also found Camping World online is out of stock of both large and small. Wonder why... junk.

I have sprayed a couple of mine with dry lube and it helps ones that have been a bit of a problem. If misaligned slightly, the latch will close after drawer opens causing failure.

Fair skies and warm for a few days. Time to attack those leakers!
No more room at Dutch Cousins. Pipeline workers galore. Nice folks. Hard working. Sociable. Friendly.
And something on the near horizon...

Only half our doors and drawers still have those. They aren't Sena proof.

If you want a sure fire travel lock that will easily be switched off when you aren't traveling down the road I recommend these --

https://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Ma...ot%2Block&th=1

You switch the lock off with a button on the lock inside. Of course all of ours stay in locked position 24/7/365.

Duh, I read 66,666 as number of replies on the UserCP page. It doesn't count the original post.

Let's see 66,666 posts in 49 months = 1,360.5 posts/month. We are a chatty bunch!
