There aren't many Drive-ins left. Google tells me there are 3 out on the Olympic penninsula. That's 75 miles or an expensive ferry ride from here to the closest one. I think I plan to celebrate that day next year.

What about you, Sue? Any Drive-ins near you?

There was just an article in the paper today about drive-ins here in CT. There are only three total for the entire state (not that it's a huge state like TX).

In Florida, there's one just down the road from my campground and it plays current movies! Seems really crowded sometimes too.

R U an RV Mutant too?

Drive-in movie theaters, where families enjoyed family movies with popcorn from home, where teens with hormonal rage sometimes even watched the show, where 8 kids could get into the trunk to capitalize on 2 bucks per car.
Where we were in MN, the drive-in was 4 blocks from the house, right next to the 24-lane bowling alley.
Can we fit a few RVs in the back row and setup a bar? Buffet? Sushi/sashimi?
Oh the humanity

Yes, sort of. There is one about 50 miles north of here, but I've never been there for a movie.

Oh the stories we could swap, about kids in the trunk, kids on the floor, the speaker in the window on a cold October night, who ever saw the end of the movie .... Who has a story?

Nola and I were dating. 1966.
When leaving for work the next morning, there was a drive-in movie speaker on my window.

I lost my wallet at the drive-in theater as a teen once. Was so upset by it, I've never worn it in the back of my pants ever since

edit: should've added, I got it back (it was found) but no money (of course).

The north end of the mighty Mac is in the UP and the south end is in the LP and you can't hold a stationary GC on the deck of the bridge. So you will have to decide whether the GC will be in the Yooper side or the south side of the state.

Oh I get it, the door handle was broke, I thought you placed the carabiner on your coach so you could clip it on your belt and not lose it during those sipping contest!

If these pictures are attached, I will post the description next...

Yeaaa... I know you aren't talking about this type of "Drive-IN', but a few years ago, Tampa FL has a come as you are, park in the field, and hear a sermon from the "Disciple Ship" !! Drive-In Church... Cute...
