Most likely. Not positively sure yet. But she generally comes with us.

And this is a big trip... with Glacier and the Mooning. She deserves to see the sites too!

Couple of points. . .

* Some of the thread photos (pics) are, well, colorful?

* Being a freshman here at The Institute of RVM is quite the experience.

Just watching the thread. Please carry on.

Sparky has been too busy for any shenanigans. He's in pine country and has made friends with the local squirrels. But he thinks he knows the one in that post. He said he's nuts.

Okay for the kids though?

Cheers!
Gorillas are pretty much fruitarians except for the occasional bugs. The cake would prolly wind em up and cut em loose. Everybody Fruit Loose...

Jake - my nostrils are still reeling since your description of the hotel room. Cold chills, brother. Are you a storyteller or creative writer by chance? Lol.

I'm surprised other mutants haven't grabbed that and run with it. Air travel and hotels are hell. But when you need them, you don't need that!

Hey Carl - which eclipse filter did you get for the new camera?

I tried to win this lense in Vegas and Ely but came up short. With the converter it would be perfect for the Mooning.

Nice lens, but anything 200mm or above will work just fine I'm sure. I used a 300mm to do the moon shot, sun is much bigger.

I'm saving up for a nice x-600mm or so along with a teleconverter. That'll provide some really nice shots, but not till next year. Spent too much already this year on the camera

I got this filter: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...se_filter.html

16.5 stops, it should work well as I spoke to someone there to figure out the correct one and they recommended this.

Forgot to mention, it shows up Monday. It was a "new item" when I purchased it 5/29 and Thursday I called and asked why it hasn't shipped as it was showing as in stock online. They said it'll go out Friday so I'll get it Monday (comes right out of NY so everything is pretty much overnight for me, free). I'll practice taking shots of the sun to figure out best settings in the camera and go from there when the time comes.

Just a hunch but... Are most of the RVM's west of the Mississippi?

BTW...
Hotel wise, I asked for a new room on my second day of exploring campgrounds here in Selinsgrove, PA.
Fortunately this new room does NOT smell like stale vomit. (Nice, right?)

Sunday it's the long drive back to that cesspool I fondly call home; the bluest of all blue states: New stinking Jersey
It's all good,

It's all a matter of perspective. Most everyone is from the east. East of Idaho that is.

Before I forget again, Laurie will have eclipse viewing glasses for sale. I didn't find out any more info than that, but I will. Y'all know that you MUST have eye protection to view the eclipse or risk immediate and permanent blindness. Also, welder's goggles DO NOT provide enough protection.

She also has River MT RV Park eclipse t-shirts for $20.
