Back at ya! We will try to work something out around Astoria / Portland if possible while you're in Wa...

As for the restaurant, I got lucky! I have never seen the hot tea I had offered anywhere. Tea leaves tied around a flower. Unusual flavor and authentic. Everything was flavorful and fresh. My Wor Wonton soup was delicious. Annie's Mongolian beef... yumm.

Have any of you seen this flower green tea before...

We have now seen 4 of the G7 Resorts - We're currently in Ambassador RV Park in Caldwell, Idaho. We visited Mike at Harriet at Mountain Home RV Park, and the other day we visited McCall. And we've driven by Brenda outside Quartzite a couple of times.

McCall is a step above but all are nice, clean, well kept. And the Hwy 55 route isn't to be missed.

I love that drive on hwy 55. Best done during the week during the summer. On Friday's you have all the Boise people heading to McCall for the weekend and the reverse on Sunday. We have rafted the river there and had a blast. I even rode the bull and never fell off.

It's been a long time since the Mutant Lexicon was posted and since we've added several new words lately. So here it is.

Official RVM Lexicon

Word -- meaning

RVM -- Recreational Vehicle Mutant - a person or family who has met the admission requirements by declaring 1) what their RV doesn't have and they don't miss, 2) that the journey is the destination.

Successful candidates are then assigned the next available RVM number. In families the applicants are assigned the primary number, and the spouse uses the same number with an "A" suffix added. For instance : Dave is RVM1 and Nola is RVM1A. Steve RVM2 and Annie RVM2A

Rainbow -- revered by all RV mutants as the best place to be. Rainbow riding is being in travel mode as an RVer. On the day RVMdom was created (April 14, 2013) the very first photo posted was this --

image1.JPG

Mutopia - the ultimate RVM world where every day on the Rainbow is perfect and all Mutants live in harmony, traveling without being attacked by the boogie monster or trolls.

RVM0 (RVM zero) -- the original RVM who brings presents to all good little boys, girls and RVMs every December 25th.

RVMoon -- our official celestial body

Curiosity -- a collection of 2 or more RVMs

Mini-C -- a meeting of 2 RVMs

Midi-C -- a get together of 3-5 RVMs

Great Curiosity (gC) -- a gathering of 6-9 RVMs

Grande Curiosity (GC) -- when 10 or more RVMs get together to play.

FMC -- Fantastic mini-C or midi-C

Lust List -- one of many lists that the queen of finger slides maintains

KUMP -- Keep Us Mutants Posted

Ohmm or Ommm -- the magic healing power of the RVM community. Ohmms are sent to those RVMs in need of special attention.

Mohmms -- healing wishes sent to mechanical or inanimate objects

Loohmms -- powerful vibes sent to assist lottery playing Mutants

Wohhhmmms -- wishes for wonderful future weather, especially great GC weather.

Great Poohbah -- RVM1's official ceremonial title

Grand Potentate -- RVM2's official ceremonial title

Mutant Master of Lucidity -- RVM5's official ceremonial title

Official RVM Historian -- Deb (Ogeoisplash) RVM107

The Three Mutanteers -- those 3 Mutant tricksters -- Dennis, Tim and Wayne. Designated as those who are picked on the most.

PoP -- (Picture of Proof) Satisfies Mutant requirement of "pictures or it didn't happen"

Deer camp rules -- inspired by Tim, deer camp rules are when you provide your own tableware (plate bowl, silverware, etc.) for group meals and are responsible for the cleaning of such items.

MARLG -- Murder At Rope Light Gulch -- the mystery novel that RVM2, aka Flaggship, aka Steve is writing. Word has it that it's about a murder amongst those who live the mutant lifestyle with lots of twists and turns in the plot.

Mutanistic -- the act of a mutant wondering aimlessly about the rainbow

Murker -- Mutant lurker

Mutalicious -- wonderfully tasty. Food fit for royalty and RV Mutants

MMDC and MMDC west -- magical Mutant abodes in Kansas and Nevada inhabited by Mr. Malone, Don and Colleen

RVM temps -- those magical unpaid worker bees who do the heavy lifting tasks assigned to them by RVM2

IWARP -- I Want A Rubi People -- that group of mutants who are hoping Santa, aka RVM0, will bring them a Jeep Rubicon

SOS -- Slower, Older, Smarter -- the state of most RVMs

STM -- Sick, Twisted Mutants

SFM -- Sliding Finger Mutant

SFS -- Sliding Finger Syndrome -- highly contagious in Arkansas

Finger Slide -- not a typing error, but when the typing finger slides to the key next to the correct key.

TOT -- (that other thread) refers to the "Are you a thread killer?" thread on IRV2 where many Mutants also hang out and chew the fat.

W--k -- What most people do Monday thru Friday in exchange for a paycheck before retirement. RV Mutants consider this word to be obscene so it is never used in polite company.

Toad -- any vehicle towed behind an RV

MH or Moho -- motorhome

DP -- diesel pusher (diesel fueled motorhome with a rear engine)

Family shortcuts

DW -- dear wife or the D may be a substitute for any other word starting with D such as darling, dangerous, damn or demented.
DH -- D____ husband
DD -- Darling daughter
DS -- Dear son
DGD -- Darling grand daughter
MIL -- Mother-in-law
FIL -- Father-in-law
DIL -- daughter-in-law
SIL -- son-in-law or sister-in-law
BIL -- brother-in-law
Grands -- grandchildren

I have the glass teapot & a few of the flower teas. They are fun for special occasions, & pretty tasty, too. (Plus, you can brew each one several times w/o much loss of flavor.)

Sounds like you found yet another great place...both for eatin & for meetin. Yay for the mini-c!

Great news on our Queen Ann! It's been a long ole tunnel to get through & I'm glad to hear there's light there! Ommmms continue.

As for zeelarry, I'd wave my magic wand over him, but would prolly miss & smack him with it instead of fixing him. Cyber-hugs instead, gentle ones for both of yez.

An RV Mutant ponder....

What are campfires for? Well....

They are for late night stories, using the glow and flicker of the fire to highlight the menacing gestures in the real scary parts; the glow of the faces of children, the fire making the whites of their wide eyes glisten pinkly just before the horrifying finish; poking it with a stick and watching the last tiny embers twinkle like stars; the morning with the mixing smells and sounds of a campfire and an old percolator, crackling and bubbling; staring at the fire, having thoughts of everything or nothing as the fire performs its hypnotic dance.....

That is what campfires are for...

R U a Mutant

So Jackie has a question for those familiar with the area around the Mooning.

Is there a restaurant close enough that we will be going out for a meal or two as a group?

Currently pondering what to pack for food. The boxes of lumber for a couple of fires already stored away for the trip.

Well, a curiosity happened yesterday evening. We met Jeannie, Dave, and Jeannie's GD, Zanna in Baytown for a meal at Cheddars. A great time was had by Earlene and I, and a fantastic time was had by Jeannie and Dave. Zanna was a perfect presence.

Doesn't the McCall resort have a year limit on the MoHo's? I think that is why I first voiced concern...Honey wouldn't be up to snuff...I really need to get serious about spiffing her up next year since we won't be going out much, having her backside torn apart a bit shouldn't matter.

I'll be dipping into the mutant basket of Ohmms for Bob's mom who turns 90 end of August... she is on her third round of C-Diff in the hospital and they are calling in an infectious disease doc.
It's apparently tough getting old, but seems only the tough make it there.
