Bummer Carl.
But like Tim said, better at home than in the middle of nowhere.
And like all good mutants, you have given yourself plenty of time so as to not interrupt the journey! Work the plan man. Work the plan!

He's been in my thoughts too. I was looking forward to seeing his bus almost as much as meeting them. A real mutant at heart and a great sense of humor. It would be nice to have an update.

Yea, when I first saw the battery, I thought the same thing. Better here than somewhere remote. That'd make for a less fun trip plus the schedule impact. And yes, I wanted to get all these things taken care of long before launch date. Went and got the new batteries, will put them in later this evening.

Don't envy you there. Too heavy for my liking and mine aren't that easily accessed. The house batteries are a piece of cake, but the cranks are in a special place in hello in there. Good bye knuckles...

These things are huge, and unpleasant to say the least.

Yea, I'm lucky there, the chassis batteries are in the same tray as the house batteries so just need to remove/replace and do the heavy lifting The new ones have nice handles on them so it's really not that bad.

The last I heard from Nelson was December 15, 2015, and the news was not good. Out of respect for his wishes I did not forward the information on. I think it is time to let y'all know what he said and I'll forward the last email I received from him via the Group Email.
I wish I could have known him sooner and was able to visit with him.

I had a big 8D blow up in my coach and I had the compartment door open. It messed up the paint on and around the door.
I hope yours is ok. It sure makes a mess.
