The bad news is that it's a 2004 model. Total loss!

The dealer said Toyota left off the plate that would have sealed off the engine compartment that year to save weight and increase the gas mileage numbers.

Possible solution:

After a couple critter problems, our dealer said: "Place a few MOTH BALLS around"

We had used those hangie up types around engine.. Smells a little, but has worked. Later, just a few in a aluminum pan under vehicle, smells less..

Of course, I will check my policy & when ready to trade, a little bacon grease on wires could make an easy disposal when ready...

Thanks for the hint...

My Queen sez HELLO back to both of you...

Which brings me to a question: When I post info to you, Mary never seems to get the news... When Ann texts to Mary, you never seem to get the info..

Now, the question is, do you both ride in the same vehicle, or does she throw you back in the toad to ride??

Glad you have a little money to get diesel at your next stop...

The JOURNEY is the Destination... ENJOY

Well...

I may be going dark for a while. LOL

Currently I'm waiting for a heart catheter procedure to be done this afternoon. Hopefully they find and fix things but, of course, we don't know what they will find until they find it.

Life is good no matter what so don't fret too much. Time will tell what they find and what they can do. Besides, there are a lot of you dealing with worse things.

Until later...enjoy the journey...I am.

I know your situation is MUCH more serious than mine. I don't post as much here as I have in the past but I check in to see how you guys are doing.

We are in Champaign, IL which is in Sandee's home turf. Lots of family around here so we are being well looked after.

I've got a few hours before they get me into the OR so it will be a long day...and I am getting damn hungry.

Richard, I tried moth balls in well ventilated plastic bottles set on all the RV tires. It repelled me! Now I just keep a bottle in the engine compartment. I was afraid Sena would mess with loose ones on the ground.

Don, I'm glad to hear that you are with family. Ohmms for your ticker and Wohmms for cooler weather. We'll all be anxious to hear all went well.

Love it! Funny how good that little diversion looks when driving out that way!

I just talked to Don and he is in great spirits and sounds strong and well attended to. Nurses even interrupted our call to take his temp!

We will hear more when he does. Omms on high for Don and all in need.
