Well, I got nuttin done today... but a whole lot happened! Jeep has her baseplate, Honey's been put back together without a new propane fill valve, because some young fella had thought it would be an easy thing to do... turns out, there aren't any that fit and if I want to fill my propane faster, I will need to scour salvage yards for a propane tank that fits with a fill valve that works properly... I'm of the mindset ... it still works fine, and isn't dangerous, so what if it takes longer to fill... I'm not in that big of a hurry. So because the shop closes at 5, I was the one who got to go get the lesson on hooking up and unhooking the tow bar and drive it home. Now, If I can just remember it all to teach Bob too. I did learn my first lesson... try to remember to park level and straight as it's harder to uncouple them if your toad is a bit angled to the right of driver's side, and you are on a bit of uneven ground...'cause backing up isn't an option, which I know, so we jacked around and finally got them uncoupled. Everything is pretty tight still as it's new, ought to get easier to handle as it loosens up a bit. They did suggest a lock on the hitch pin.
I got up, went and doctored a horse early this AM, went and let a few dogs out, came home, played with Elijah ( 3 y.o. for 4 hours or so, taught him how the inside of a toilet tank works, taught him how to get rid of dead bugs in the basement... flush, bye bye dead bugs, and taught him how to use his T shirt to carry in tomatoes, (apron style), then went out and doctored horse again, and went to let dogs out to pee... these folks just keep calling... then had to go get my lesson on the tow bar hookup and unhooking, and drive the Honey home. Tomorrow is another day, and I'll have Elijah, the horses, and dogs to contend with... but hopefully, I can get out there in a bit as soon as I stuff my face with food and at least start getting Honey organized and cleaned on the inside tonight. If I'm lucky, tomorrow I can tackle the outside of her and start staging my items to go out there and finish my lists for this and that and the other thing...So much to do, so little time to get it done...The great mooning approaches quickly!

Diwizi, not sure which unofficial C Roman was referring to, but I'd offered a parking place o'nite to view on my northeast KS farm for anyone near US36 & 73 area on that day.

Dennis, I appreciate that....
right now, we are too soon to travel that far.... Larry had heart pump put in March 7, has been back in both June and July with gastric bleeds, so for now, we are staying close to home.....
But who knows.....

Idanha is pronounced EYE-dan-uh Oops, I see this already got answered.
I made my departure schedule today. We leave here on Thursday after morning traffic rush, stop south of Seattle for propane and a front end alignment and make 3 stops in Oregon before getting to Idanha on Saturday afternoon. We're doing a really slow roll with a lot of stocking up. I'll be really ready to see y'all by the time we finally get there.
I'm also planning to go back to Costco in Salem on Thursday, 8/17 for additional provisions for our group meals. Anyone who would like to join me is welcome.

OOOOPPPPS !!! Minor miscalculation. It's somewhere around 1,250 miles from Moab. So what's an extra 500+ miles.

Trip into Eureka, Ca was nice, stopped at a mall and had lunch at food bar. Not knowing what there was to do in town I ask a couple setting near us for suggestions. They replayed they weren't from there just passing through. Short conversation revealed they were from Hot Springs, AR. Truly a small world.
