Our reservations are established.

We're sitting in Grand Forks, ND. Hope to reach Minnesota. Grueling drive tomorrow. It's across the river from here. We hope to cover the width of Minnesota tomorrow. Be safe muteys. Ohms to those that need various sorts of ohms.

Lunch at the Riverview with Annie, Dale and Deb was delicious. It's hazy - even a little smokey here. It's an area we could spend more time in. Didn't do the drive up Mount Hood. I would like to see it, but outdoor l landscape pics need a sky... but that's just me.

Lunch would have been enough of a 1 night stop for the area (but there's more). We were able to preview the Dalles Bridge we will use tomorrow. Gonna run the city side of the Columbia and that bridge has plenty of room. And only 1 tunnel. Bet ya know right were we were Steve! It's sure getting warmer....

So I suggested there was more... saw a sign... Deb... turn around. She makes a U turn and off we go. Free samples of Smoked salmon. Bought some. And Dale and Deb and Annie and I got a couple of nice looking filets for later.

So with that and the lunch... We shall see what we missed the next time we're here, and a good time was had by all.

Btw- Deb. We went back into town and actually found Dickey's. Nothing to write home about. Across the street and a bit down from "where the used to be."

You are lucky. Ours keep giving the emergency alert OOOGHHHHA six times. I turn my cell phone off at night while this is going on. Whatever happens, well happens and there isn't anything one can do about it.

Citrus is most definitely flooded. Today Dickinson, TX declared mandatory evacuation. If one looks at the map of Dickinson, TX, and the intersection of I-45 and FM-517, then travel about 1/2 mile giver or take on the feeder road you will find Dues Camping Center. Citrus is parked there.

The rains have started again and the street is almost full. I hope and pray that the system TC has in place will keep the water out of our homes.

Y'all cannot imagine the flooding devastation that is going on. The pictures you see on the TV don't do it justice. You only get snippets of areas and we have continuous live feed.

Here is a scenario that was reported on the live feed today. The Corps of Engineers will have to open a spillway on one of the reservoirs around Houston. This is going to cause those areas that are flooded to have higher water than they have. However, to no open those spillways could cause the levee to breach. If that were to happen there would be no Houston.

It's bad. Prayers for all affected, please.

BTW! We got back to DD's house about 3:30 but we all needed a serious nap. I almost road raged on a woman who cut in front of me and then kept letting others slide in in front of her while trying to get on the Seattle express lanes. She got my bright headlights up REAL close for about 5 miles.

I should have left Salem earlier before the northbound traffic started building. Then we had to stop just inside Washington and remove the generator's tailpipe. It lost the clamp on the generator side but remained attached to the strap at the other end. I'm not sure how far I dragged it but it lost a bunch of metal right where it bends. Just another item on my to do list before heading to Little Rock.

G'nite Y'all!

Thanks Barb.

Well, it got good and now it is bad again. Worse than we have ever seen it. Inside house still dry. I haven't seen the mail carrier for a few days now, wonder why?

At 4 a.m., I got up and looked out the front door. The water was just up to the curb, so that's probably 4-6 inches. 21st st. runs North to South. We are on the East side of 21st. The houses on the West side of 21st are a little lower and they have water in the houses.

Here is how it looks now out in front of the house and the street.

If I had oars on the motor home I think I would try to get it.

With a side exhaust I'd just spin around in circles if I started the engine. (If it would even start.)

I have to look on the bright side. I will not have to take it the the RV Repair place. It's already there.
