I go to my User CP to see what replies I have to threads I've posted on and PMs. I shut off the emails with every reply.

How do you read IRV2?

On my desktop I have two windows - one for this thread and one for IRV2 in general. Just need to refresh this window every once in a while to see new posts. The IRV2 window always allows me to click the CP at any time since it's usually scrolled up. Just never thought of that as being an issue, but understand that every user has their own preferences.

No need. Click on "Search" then "Advanced Search" and put in your name for "Search by User Name." it will populate you entries and those in bold are the ones you have not read. It's the only way I enjoy doing it instead of clicking on "New Posts" and get things I'm not interested in.

BTW, you have 17 unread threads as of a few seconds ago.

Oooo! Tim only has 4 unread threads. He is really caught up.

Wrong wrong wrong, by clicking on User CP it brings up any thread your subscribed too in one step. Wayne has to check if there is anyone on the other threads that like him.

Found an interesting NOAA link that lets you see satellite imagery of post-Irma. Zoom into the keys and you can look around at what's left. Saw some really serious highway damage, saw a load of RV's and TT's flipped over (zoom into Ohio Key where Sunshine Key Resort is located). No clue why they wouldn't have cleared out ahead of time. If you go further south to Boyd's, they all cleared out minus 1/2 dozen or so that seemed to be protected by surroundings. Very interesting stuff...and this is what they *let* us see
