Help! The sky is falling, the sky is falling! If you don't believe me, just ask Sena and Lily. One is glued to my side shivering, the other is in bed with the covers over her head.
The wind started blowing late this afternoon and now pine cone bombs are hitting the roof every few minutes. It's gonna be a loooong night.
I was hoping to stay here at my DD's house another 10 days, but the weather may chase us out sooner.

It's already snowed in Utah and Montana and... but that only means the next one is coming. Who knows when... just keep an eye on it.
We've been peppered a few times by pine cones. They sound almost like Arkansas hail. Only Arkansas is set to 11. Pine cones are a notch or two lower. Hold tight to your perch.

I think there was a motorcycle rally for #VegasStrong today. They were in large numbers all around. It's easy to have an image of Las Vegas as the strip and the glitter and dirty deeds. The fact is that the locals are strong people and will look out for one another.
We hold the door for people even if it takes 5 seconds out of our day.
There are the typical DH's there as well and I'm not talking about a husband. As far as the local's driving habits...that's another story.

Hanging out for a week in an orange grove turned RV park east of Bakersfield CA. Unfortunately all the oranges are still green...
Snowed in Utah? Hopefully only in the north, we were thinking of diverting through southern UT (Moab?) then heading south to AZ. Time to check temperature charts again...
Someone said something about staying in Yuma some time back? Any recommendations on parks?

Yeah, well, Don and Sandy are gonna fly on by half way through the state 'cause they don't like the weather... Bess doesn't like the weather either... she's complaining about the thunder....I think it makes great sleeping weather ( when Bess finally gives up and goes to sleep...)
Oh well, happier note (I think)... we get the grands tomorrow night...well, 2 of them anyway... the almost 4 year old and almost 2 year old. the almost 4 year old is in the habit of constant pop ups and coming out of his room, so we'll see if being at Grandpa and Grandma's intimidates him a bit and he'll stay in bed and sleep...

Wakey, wakey Muties! I can’t believe I’m the first to post this morning. We survived the pine cone attack better than expected. The wind died about midnight, thankfully. It rained a bit, but it’s not this morning. I may actually get some projects done today.

Ok, rant time — WHY do the software developers have to change everything when they do an upgrade??? The Apple folk have rearranged the number/symbol keyboard. It’s like going to Costco — I hate having to hunt for the stuff I always buy.
