I need a haircut and would love an actual shave. But I'm not sure this is the place. They seem to be a little short on attention to detail.

Sue and I have just been shorn at the SmartStyle franchise in our local Walmart. I told the stylist, Shamill, that all I need is No. 4 clippers and final trim. I also mentioned that, on pure impulse and armed with a multitude of discount coupons, I had just purchased a full Wahl haircut kit from Kohl's on sale for about $30 and was beginning to wonder how to use it and whether it was a foolish buy. Shamill then proceeded to give Sue a full lesson on how to use the clippers as she cut my hair, with all the tips and tricks.

So, it looks like Sue will be doing my hair in the future - but she won't be letting me near hers!

I took mine apart to clean it, but couldn't line it up right to reassemble. How hard could be... but I gave up.

Sorry Bugs! I decided NOT to turn in Albuquerque and continued straight east on I-40. Even got a hefty tail wind. Hunkering down in Santa Rosa tonight under the canopy of a long closed gas station and the wind is still howling.

Well, Sis, we both know that Bugs is no more dependable than Yosemite Sam.

The first foreign language I was taught at school was Latin. What would a dead language be of use to me? Well, I think I've now found one - how to conjugate the verb to mutate.

Muto - I mutate
Mutas - You, singular, mutate
Mutat - He, she or it mutates
Mutamus - We mutate
Mutatis - You, plural, mutate
Mutant! - They mutate.

Here be tonight's ponder.

You must be in a campground with nothing to do!

Wow... I took Latin too, but it's beyond me. Probably wasn't my best class, and 9th grade wasn't my best year. Academically, that is. Same goes for German and Hebrew. I am definitely not wired for foreign language. In fact, the Air Force told me that I would be terrible at languages.
