Hiya Leroy!

Thanks for the nice words. Yep, the Canadians are both Dennis. The GC in Michigan is scheduled for Sept 17-25 at the Mackinaw Mill Creek Campground. If you join this little group you can make reservations to be in the RVMutant block. That is a HUGE campground, over 800 sites, so we might not be easy to find. They won’t be taking reservations until next year, but keep reading this thread for more info as it becomes available.

I hope you'll reconsider becoming an RVMutant. The dues are affordable — only $0.00 per decade.

I just remember a real nice lady with a small dog and a monkey, and a couple nice, but crazy guys from Canada named Dennis I think. We don’t want to join your group yet, but maybe later after we meet again in the upper peninsula. Let us know when and where and maybe we can make it there and meet the rest of you.

Leroy Brown, we meet every year (once or twice) and our gatherings often include an "induction ceremony" of new members. I'm organizing the FEUMGC (First Ever Upper Michigan Grand Curiosity) and you're welcome to join us. You sound like mutant material to me.

PM me with your contact information so that I can be sure to keep you informed of our plans.

Carl...... it was surreal, that a small premium reaped such a huge reward.... I would still be paying it off otherwise... but just as important was the fact that they coordinated it all..... i made 2 phone calls and they handled all of the arrangements for the ICU to ICU transfer....
nurses communicated...
doctors communicated....
mutants communicated....

Smile, Larry is communicating.....

Sometimes a person receives blessings that they are unaware of until years later. Some times a blessing "smacks" you up side the head and you know instantly that you've been blessed. Girl . . . . . you should consider yourself smacked along side the head. God is good. Prayers for continued blessings for you and Larry. Love you guys.

Di, on another subject, the 3 frames have been painted a gloss white. The pictures have received the fixitive treatment. The pictures have had the wax applied to them. Waiting several days to buff the wax. Last step is in sight. Use the gloss heavy gel to stick the pictures to the frames. Already have the brayer, the rigid "hold down panels" and the weights to push the panels hard against the pictures to assure a tight adhesion. Pics in a couple weeks.

Fingers crossed

I have lurked, and a few comments, for a long time now. It may be time to get a number.
We have been riding the rainbow for over 20 years as snowbirds mostly. The s&b is on a large lake and the DW HATES to leave in the summer.
We have had 3 MH and 2 TT.
So the things I don't have and don't miss. Diesel fuel & service costs. 22 inch tires to replace. tow bar, braking and lighting system for toad. We wont talk about what I don't like about a TT.
We have rv'ed in 49 states. Some were a drive through but I count that.
We live about 50 miles South of Mill Creek park where you are having your fall campout. I have sounded off on that a few times and you can go back and look it up. I boycott Mill Creek and tell friends to stay other places. Long story.
Our Winters consist of MS,LA,TX,NM pass thru,AZ and sometimes CA.
I only comment or reply when I have time to use the lap top. I have a old smartphone with a old dumb operator. I can view the comments but not post so you wont hear from me often.
I hope to see some of you on the rainbow in AZ this winter.
If we qualify for a number I will pay our dues when proper billing is received. Snail mail only to be payed by check. I told you I am old!!

I don't very often say this, but: Amen!

Especially to the last line!

Cheers!

Well t55watson - you're inches away from becoming RVM167 with all rights and privileges!

Just come back and declare the Journey is the Destination- And secure your place in the RVMdom! It's that easy.

And a PM on your experience at at the Mill would be appreciated. Or perhaps a brief review of the park. I suspect we are all in at this point but it would be nice to know what to watch for while there. Either way - you're almost there! Let's hear it!

The journey is the destination. We took 6 weeks to get from Abbotsford,BC to Tok,AK.
I do slow roll whenever possible. The exception is when we leave MI in the winter. I drive hard for 2 days to get to a warm enough climate to water up the rig. The 1st night out we stay in a motel.

Many of those things would have been here at one time. Sometines that makes the thread seem lonely or inactive. But this thread is really an iceberg. Not cold and lonely - but merely what's visible on the surface. Beneath the surface many of us text or talk on the phone with each other as well.

But we're still here. Still welcoming new mutants to the group. And still proving we don't miss what or RVs don't have and that the Journey is the Destination.

So If your a mutant and know it...
I am still an old schoolie mutant that hasn't gone to F.B. It gets cold on the berg at times but us Canucks are used to that!!
DW .... She is a Facebook fan and keeps threatening to sign me up.
