Happy Happy Thanksgiving all you mutants.

Gobble Gobble

All this talk of the new Jeep has me wanting to test drive one. What is the ground clearance like? My DW struggles a little getting into our Wrangler with her bad knees.

The day is here and I'm immediately thankful that it is only 28 degrees out. Thankful for all mutants and especially thankful to hear from our long lost mutant RVM9 this morning - SylviaCub! While many of you delight in poking me about it, I am also thankful for my job which I have had for 26 years now. I'm thankful for my boss who is a great guy and family man, and for his wholehearted understanding and approval of our retirement plan. He just bought a brand new 6 cylinder BMW motorcycle and has kept his Triumph. He and his wife are planning to bike tour when their time comes and he totally gets it.

I can't possibly list all the things I'm thankful for but I can't leave Annie out. She is simply the best and what keeps me going. And to top it off she is so looking forward to meeting all of you. Even you Wayne.

And speaking of Wayne. We poke at one another a bit but I am thankful for Wayne. He is one of the first people to really reach out and share with me here on iRV2 a little over a year ago. Thanks Wayne for your encouragement and friendship you silly mutant you.

I am also thankful for Dave and Nola. Dave and I found that we were posting to the same threads quite often and in a similar (what's become known as) sick and twisted manner. One thing lead to another and we have become great friends and mutant brothers. Thanks Dave.

My BIL, James, just pulled up and I'm thankful for him. He would be a first rate mutant if I could convince him to get an RV. Is is thinking of driving up to GC @ CL on Friday and staying with us until Sunday morning. Maybe if he sees what a great time we have we can win him over.

Anyway, time to fire up the smoker and pour a little Baileys Irish Cream in our coffee to warm us up.

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all.
RVM2

Elizabeth, think Lincoln MKX, the other Jag. If you have to go with a jeep, have one custom built for you. Take a look at Select Jeeps in League City, TX. It's only a short day or two drive and there are plenty of campgrounds to stay in while you are selecting. I'll even drive you around if we are in town.

Now Herb, you know I like to stand beside your, or behind you, and be the "gaffer."

Oh my! Don't get rid of the refrigerator. Just imagine how much toast you can make for breakfast at the GC!

==================

Steve, such a nice post with words of Thanks. Thank you for putting up with me for the past year. I never look back with any regrets of becoming your friend. I look forward to setting eyes on you in person and enjoying your and Annie's company.

A very Happy Thanksgiving to all the little men that run around in my head, and especially to all the mutant friends who live in my computer.

Step 2 Using Rocky Mutant Smoker - load the good stuff.

And get the temp balanced out using vents and remote thermometer.

Then keep temp even adding charcoal and cherry wood as needed. Btw - Baileys and Coffee is helping with the cold, but not much.

Turkey is now reading 52 degrees - only 113 degrees to go. Ambient air temp is 40 degrees and the promised sunshine is nowhere in site. Brrr. Once we get the temp stable - the remote thermometer transmits 300 feet. Plenty of distance to land my mutant tail in the easy chair with the remote.
RVM2 reporting.
