Great night at the house tonight as 29 guest came to fellowship with us this Christmas Eve.
Singing, games and food till a little after 11. Once everyone was gone the house looked amazingly clean as the ladies cleared the food and kitchen and the men put tables and chairs back in there correct places. Did I mention food!

Jan's recipe for rice pudding made a perfect Christmas Eve gift for Martin. Thank you, Jan! Our English style miniature mince pies are made, and the silk-covered ornaments have been hung by the chimney with care. (Great care!)
I finally got to make a snow angel today. PoP, but the forum says my pic exceeds allowances. What's up with that?!
I'm about 2 weeks behind, and y'all know how many pa-a-ages that's likely to be. It'll be a while before I'm current again, but I will read every single post, count on it.

I've just watched the Queens Christmas message. In it, she referred to the first televised message she gave 60 years ago and showed us a clip (B&W then). She then said how amazed she was with the advances in technology and supposed that some of us would be watching this on a computer or mobile phone. Well, there I was lying in bed watching it on my mobile! How times have changed. Merry Christmas youse'all.

It's a cold Christmas morning and I lay asleep in my bed
I awake to a buzzing
It was right near my head
I answer the cell phone and to my suprise
It was GD with a new puppy, oh me oh my
Then DIL 2 calls and made such a racket
When she found us asleep
She just wasn't going to have it
So GD 2 was showing her toys
The room was real full, oh what a joy
So I spring from the bed and declared to the wife
Mary go start the coffee, life is passing us by
So I open the curtain for a quick look outside
Cause a new truck was wanted, and I've been a really nice guy
And there with my watering eyes did appear
A shinny grey truck all loaded with gear
I wiped back the tears and fumbled for my glasses
That reviled my old truck and you know what?
I'm still happy!
