As much as I'd like to I don't carry when we are traveling. Of course, we have our guard dog. We go into many Federal installations and it is illegal to carry in those facilities. Now in Texas - Yep!

RV parks are rare and expensive near Seattle, but the choices get better about 100 miles out.

We are fortunate and get to stay at Fort Lewis. Very wooded and tight. I don't think we will fit with our new MH.

Ah yup! But first I use the search drop down, click on advanced and then put my user name in that field. That gives me anything I have posted to and the new ones that have answered are bold type.
I thought everyone knew that.

THANKS... TIM
Haven't you heard " What happens in Bar Harbour stays in Bar Harbour"???
I will admit Kentucky drivers dont have a chance against a Chicagoan driver.
Pulled into a Lowes parking lot following someone. I was parked and getting out of the Jeep by the time they came around the opposite direction.
Dont follow them into a intersection, they dont accelerate leaving you out in traffic.

I feel confident that Jackie and Sheba are in good hands with you behind the wheel. I, on the other hand, get my driving tips by watching NASCAR! Looking at doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail sometime in August. Don't warn em I'm coming.

I just found out that putting your user name into the advanced search does nothing for me. Any other brilliant ideas there Cir Cumfrence?

This is what happens when one places too much confidence in four- wheel drive. We got through OK coming home yesterday (just) but the Jeep decided not to follow the same tracks.
Now awaiting Leroy with his big green JD.
Will put off our southern departure for another 2 weeks till a promised warm up.

I've found that when driving in ruts I'll drive two wheel drive as much as possible. That way the front tires don't tend to want to pull themselves up out of the ruts. Now that said I'll have to admit I've driven more in mud than snow! The good side is you didn't hit the fuel tank or a tree!

Our trip is in May in a park near Frankfort for two weeks. I'll keep the secret!

Rescued! Leroy made it look so easy - just like frosting a cake. He reckoned the problem was the surface of the drift was so hard - if it was softer, I may have been able to get out. Tim, the Jeep is primarily FWD, rears only come in during slippage.

My Grand Cherokee was full time four wheel drive I could only select either high or low range 4WD. at times it was a big PITA but one learns to have a tow truck operator on speed dial.

I could have been there in 3 hrs. Looks like Leroy had better equipment to deal with the problem.

You must not be holding your mouth the correct way. Try right and if that doesn't work try left. Or, get a MAC and use Firefox.

I'm thinking you need to re-plan your escape for next year, like make all Dr. appointments earlier so you can leave earlier.
