@ Electra 225

Hey, I had a 1962 Buick for a while. It was my grandparents', purchased new, a LeSabre 4-door hardtop. I got it in 1989 when Grandma passed away, drove it for about a year but her garage had a leaky roof and the really humid environment caused major rust issues in the frame so I had to scrap it (rear bumper was falling off). A shame really, it only had about 60K miles on it, really good shape except for the rust (could pass about anything except a gas station...). A month later I went to the scrap yard and someone had already taken the engine, front sheet metal and windshield. I have a couple more stories about it to tell later...

Carrying firewood from place to place can allow the pine bark beatle to hitch hike and infect a clean forest. Lumber that has been dried and has no bark is safe to transport.

But, I suspect the campground has a financial incentive for wanting you not to bring your own.

How sweet of you to visit Granny's car in the auto graveyard. Did you ever take flowers to Granny's grave?

Does your kindling have bark on it? Of course kindling comes in many sizes and is NOT firewood. Right?

I do declare the journey IS the destination. Actually, when you look at it, that is the definition of life. Isn't it?

Let's see.....I don't have heated floors. Some folks rave about it, and I'm sure it's nice, and maybe I'll have it someday who knows, but I don't have it, and I don't miss it. Not sure if that fits the criteria, but it is something I don't have and don't miss...
Very well done. Welcome aboard Bill, aka RVM172! DH & I are from Idaho. Hope to meet you some day on the road or at a GC.

Welcome RVM # 172... We are from Arkansas & like our Idaho friend said, get to a GC, maybe MI, to see what really happens behind the posts...

BTW, I am the self appointed collector of the dues... You are in luck because there is a special because of the Super Blue Blood Moon. There is a 90% reduction for a lifetime membership.

Therefore, the normal membership is $0.00, less the 90% reduction is a bargain one time payment of $0.00.. Make your check made out to cash & send it to me...

Hope to meet you soon.

Papa Steve mentioned kindling as 5" diameter logs!
We actually have been using 4x4 boards as logs at several of the past GCs including finally at the RVMooning! Ed and I both were trying to burn our stash of logs/ lumber in OR. once we got the ok to burn! Neither of us wanted to haul it around anymore!

I still have a shop full of kindling and adding to it with the building of this chicken coop!

@ Barb

Actually, I used to go there but haven't for a while, I need to get back again.
I used that scrap yard a lot when I was working on my old cars, they specialized in vintage vehicles. It's been cleaned out and gone for a while now.
