Iíve heard a lot about Quartzsite, so may just take a gander up that way and check it out.

Google says you are 316 miles from Q, but that's taking AZ-90 and I-10. I know you have been taking a quieter path, tho. I hope you make it out this far or to Yuma. I'd suggest you avoid going thru Phoenix. This coming week is forecast as Q's second and last week of winter. Temps are supposed to be in the low -mid 60s. <groan> but by Friday things will return to sunny and warm.
Thanks for the invite, but still not sure where we will go next.
We have been snowbirds for 20 years and I avoid all big cities if possible. Phoenix is not the worst but still bad.
I will detour Dallas/Fort Worth every time. And I have never been through Houston without a traffic jam. Including this year. I knew better but I tried the direct route just to have 5 lanes down to 1, right at my exit ramp.

Careful or you'll wind up in Texas City eating cowder!

Is cowder like clam chowder only made from cows?

So...
If they're Rocky Mountain Oysters in Texas, that means they're imported, right?
