Come on muties, call in your reservations.

Small world! During a recent hospital visit to see my son, we met a couple from MI also... They also talked about the campground and island, etc etc..
Queen Ann is looking forward to this "Journey" & reservations already made.
Thanks Papa Steve for all your planning!

I certainly looked at those but after getting on some chicken forums and Facebook pages and reading what others had to say I decided to build a much sturdier one. Main complaint with the prefab box store coops was they would not stand up out in the weather. Once wet they started coming apart and predators could get in and the number of birds they would house was not sufficient and misstated on the package.
I did spend more than that on mine, but not a lot more, most of mine was old lumber with new paint. Pictures will come on my other social media contacts soon. Grandson and two granddaughters helped me bring the chickens home last night and get them settled in on roost. I was out with the chickens at first light and have one nesting already! The great chicken adventure begins.
Breeder said I might get a few eggs today, ones they were already forming, but most likely they will halt laying for a few days till stress of moving settles down.

Hmmm! Are you counting Kopfman and Kopfman as two?
My math is not that good but I came up with 17 rigs. Just sayin'.
Don probably should only count as 1/2.
Oh, wait, the lovely lady of the two counts for 1-1/2, okay,

So Tim, how many hens in your house? Chicken house, that is. I'm thinkin' the MI GC attendees will be looking for you to bring eggs for Papaw Steve's Eggs Benedict brunch. You might need to add a second room to accomidate enough hens to feed that crowd.

Wayne,
Since you missed meeting Don's nephew Joe Kopfman at the RVMoon GC you probably didn’t know there are 2 of them.

Tim, I have seen some of those Arkie trailers with chickens being hauled. Think you can master that before the FEMUGC?
Here are some ideas so you can provide us with eggs. Chicken Trailers

Great idea Wayne! Tim can put his chicken coop in the back of his pickup truck and y'all can have fresh eggs every morning in Michigan.

Ok, seven hens will barely provide eggs for Mary and I and not wanting to be Uppty we'll just have plain old white eggs from the store!
Sorry Wayne your not on FB to see the big reveal, should be a real photo spread. This morning I've been out teaching chickens to drink from poultry nipples! I'm kind of picking up their language already.
