Well here is a little bit of what and who we are and if we fit in great if not then we still love you. We started renting untill we found a 2005 terra that we bought 5 years ago and I found out that the RV place where i purchased are laughing at us till now. After spending almost 2 months rebuinding this first time buyer trap and learning the hows of everything inside and out of the unit. Click image for larger version

We like to trave with a destination in mind and a time frame to return but no plans between start and finish. We love nature and adventure we enjoy travel.Click image for larger version

Silly person! Stay as long as you like, of course!

Now, some on here you should take with a grain of salt -- heck, a whole tablespoonful -- but me, you can believe every word.

I'll be back in a minute.

BTW, anybody who takes pics of rocks & water is absolutely fine in my book!

So, there are rigorous rules to this here site, & that background reading I suggested will be helpful. As for the entrance exam, it's a 2-parter:

1. Tell us at least one thing your rig doesn't have and you don't miss.

2. Declare verbatim that "The journey is the destination."

Once you've successfully completed those 2 things, a highly coveted mutant number will be bestowed upon you, and you will be passed the newbies' mop & broom.

Easy peasy!

Top of the morning, Cacique! Welcome aboard. I'm Tom and my DW is Jan. We are Florida residents as well, about half time.

By all means stay around. After studying for the exam, join us. It's easy and rewarding (YMMV).

Any way, glad to have you here. Maybe we will meet sometime.

Tom

Welcome Cacique!

I hope you realize that you have stumbled into an internet phenomenon known as the RV Mutants. We are just a month away from our 5th anniversary as a named group.

You see we are actually one giant family of like minded individuals - sisters and brothers from other mothers. We initially met here in the virtual world but go out of our way to meet up in the real world in groups of 2 to 50+. We've developed unique words that better describe us. Once you pass the entry exam (defined in post #74611 above) and are assigned your RVM number I'll forward you our dictionary and other helpful info.

What are the rules? Only 2 - respect IRV2 posting guidelines and be kind to all Mutants. There are no dues, just pay your own way at Curiosities. If you'd like to more about us go back to the first post in this thread and start reading.

What are the benefits? Your idiosyncrasies will be accepted and exploited. You'll be teased and taunted. Your life will forever be changed if you dare to join this lunacy.

So what say you, Cacique?

Hawkins was born on the 300th anniversary of Galileo's death. Wow! So many connections. There's only one thing that can explain this
