Tim,

I'm nominating you for the tile of RVM homonym king. Homonyms are words that sound the same, but have divergent meanings - like ware, wear and where.

Such great news from Sis Bev! I'm so glad they could find & put corks in those leaks! Who'dathunkit?

We'll carry on sending ommms (mutant-speak for prayers, good vibes, etc.) for her continued improvement & recovery.

Ommmm......

.... Snip .... hospital visits just ware me out.

What a day! There's all that emotion involved that makes it so wearing, I think. Thank heaven, both men are okay. How's the GD?

We spent all afternoon at the local ER yesterday, not nearly so long as Tim, but long enough. It was apparently a false alarm, sort of.

I had made an appointment online at a local urgent care facility to check out some worsening edema of my feet & ankles, but they called & said their doctor read the symptoms & wanted me to go to ER instead, where they could do the tests that would be needed. Hmmm, that's worrying!

So, okay, by 1:30 I was all checked in & waiting. By 6:00, after blood work, EKG, chest X-rays and all, we were cleared. Walk more, rest with feet elevated, & check with doctor at home. (What, a daily mile is not enough?) Finally, on our way to supper.

We missed the early bird special at the Golden Corral. By about 2 hours.

Now, a false alarm is okay, but I'm not entirely convinced they've got it right. In any case, that daily mile awaits!

Tim, prayers and ommmms for your brother and the other friend. I know about heart issues with my parents so, here's hoping they are stable and well.

Sue, same to you regarding the edema. No fun at all.....here's hoping it's back under control.
Sucks about the Golden Corral too!

Ditto to Tim!

Thanks! At least I'm reminded of the necessary coping strategies till I get home to my primary care & the pulmonologist.

There are others so much worse off than I am that I can only be thankful. It just takes a few hours in Emergency to make that quite clear!

One of the young folks there had been helicoptered in from Picacho Peak. She & her 2 friends had hiked clear up to the top, rested a bit, & started back down when she rolled her ankle & snapped a bone. She had a swelling the size of a small cantaloupe or a softball & was waiting to be set & cast. Park Service told her they would be paying for the lot, including heli ride.

Glad they found nothing, I know little things creep up on us on occasion and seem to clear themselves up, but you did the right thing in getting checked out properly.

Well it appears I'll be heading back up to LR this time to check on my BIL. I've mentioned him here before, he's my Cajon BIL. He and SIL have been back in New Orleans this week returning yesterday. Seems he had been vomiting for the past 5 days. Visit to ER in NO got him well enough to travel but it started back. Dr. here wants to find the problem. First assumed it was from oysters. Got to love that Cajon cooking! Now they don't have a clue!

Whoops! I thought I proof read that post. Hey, I thought you'd be pleased to be nominated for king of anything.

Wow, too many problems all happening at once. And it's not even a full moon. Oohmms for all in need!

And as for oysters - I can guarantee they would make me lose my cookies, even to just watch someone else eat them. Slimy bait!

Just got home, BIL doing as good as you can for someone that's only had crushed ice over the past several days. Still unsure of the problem but now suspecting scare tissue in small intestine from previous surgery causing a blockage. Tomorrow more test.
