Update: got up early again and checked in at 7.15. Settle down in lounge then 10 min later tech comes in to say they won't do anything until afternoon. 12 coaches ahead of us in 'extended diagnosis'. I have already told them the FL tech pulled the codes last fall in 10 mins and identified the faulty sensor but these people still want to go through the whole routine. We have learnt that they charge everyone 2 hrs (@$150/hr) for diagnostic work which, in our case, should hopefully be covered by warranty. We may be here for another night.

So let me get this right, Martin your saying it's worth the drive all the way across the country to go to this perticular Freightliner shop.

Note made!

Whoops sorry, I know it's no laughing matter, sorry. The local Freightliner here only works on RVs one day a week. You could spend a lifetime there waiting .

Your extra sensory perception covers your rig? How convenient!

Final report: Coach returned, fixed, at 8pm, 13 hrs after entry on 2nd day so a total of about 21 hrs in the shop. I had told them that the ABS fault was in the right tag and, indeed, that is what they found after all that diagnosis. However, there is always a silver lining - during the work on the hub to clean the star wheel, they found that the hub bearing was practically dry. So much for the annual service visits! So we have probably avoided a much more expensive failure. Because of the nature of the fault, Freightliner deemed the work not to be covered by the warranty. No parts, no pay. Final bill was $460 which reflected an FCOC discount. I suppose I can't complain too much. We met a couple today who had brought their new to them '03 Monaco in for non functioning AC. They left after 3hrs with a $300 bill for diagnosis and no work done. It would be an expensive fix if they could ever find the parts. Back on the road tomorrow.

Sign seen in the RV office at the FCOC (Freightliner Chassis Owners Club) rally: On the check in whiteboard was the heading "Frightliner". Makes more sense now. 😯

Long time no talk. We've been super busy getting my dad's house cleared out and ready for sale. Everything is now out of the house and the realtor came over and took pics. We've got to make one more trip down tomorrow cuz I forgot to clean the oven and we couldn't fit everything in our rigs. So have to pick up a few things we left in the garage. Ohms and prayers for a quick sale.

Checking in and saying "Hi".
Went to Tombstone AZ today to do 'touristy' stuff. Saw the OK Corral reenactment, ate at Big Nose Kate's and got old-timey photos taken, wandered through some shops. Going back for more tomorrow. Heading for Deming NM on Friday then up to Elephant Butt...er, Butte NM for a couple of days and on to Albuquerque where we turn right and start heading East.

We've been busy with two of our GD over for a couple days. Lots of help feeding the chickens, even the 2yo gets into throwing feed and collecting eggs. Deb glad to hear from you, we were talking about you and Dale recently. Hopefully things will work out and y'all can make MiGC.
Marty sometimes you just have to stir the pot to get the post started. Would you mind keeping the his cold weather up your way, we were having Spring then in came the cold! We're planning a trip to AL where shorts and flip flops are the norm then our son called and said bring warm clothes and mud boots!
Dave you'll always be remembered for your Butte!
Have a great day Mutants
