Hi Marty, glad someone is/was awake.

Martin,
Are you going to write up as review of the ordeal? Do you have an Extended Service Plan? (For Barb, that is an ESP.)

Dave & Carol,
Oh boy, calling Kate's nose big. You're in for it now.

Where are you going, East?

Jeff,
You still coming this-a-way?

Jeff,
We are at Tombstone Territories, about 10 miles outside of Tombstone. There is a small park right inside town and another one between here and town, but this park has the Passport America 50% discount...plus all spaces are about 40' by 80'.

This. SABENA.. is the french language acronym for the Belgian state airline, which went bankrupt in 2001. It had a very poor reputation for just about every aspect of its service and was not missed. So the english language version of SABENA was: Such A Bad Experience Never Again. That just about sums up our feelings towards Velocity Freightliner of Tucson. We heard other similar opinions expressed by a few folks we met up with. The guy with the blown turbo decided to quit and get a tow down to the Cummins place, after coughing up the mandatory $300 diagnosis fee. He said that someone had told him, too late of course, never to go near the place. We will just put it behind us as a bad memory. SABENA!
We're now settled in Lordsburg KOA for a couple of days.
Oh, yes, we did take out an ESP when we bought the coach. Because VF led me to believe that the ABS work would in fact be covered by the Freightliner warranty, I didn't bother to pursue pre-authorisation from the ESP. Live and learn.

The snowbirds are flocking away already...lost 3 people right in front of me in the last two days. Bunch of other spots now open. But for me, I'm staying put until end of month, it's still going to snow at my house this week!!!

We spent the evening at Daytona beach, have to head North as DD, DGS and future Son-inlaw have to be home for Monday. Had a great week at Universal Studios, lots of fun.

Ok, I'm doing ketchup, so don't know if this has been answered already, but please: name names! We stayed across the street from the Corral, but in a smaller rig. It was w/in walking distance of just about everything. What is the Passport place called?

BTW, we are at the KOA in Lordsburg for a couple days. Care to stop in on your way through? Site #56. It's a double wide site, so you could pull right in, or we'd walk down to the entrance to meet you. (Or there's a McD's, too.)

The wide open spaces of the SW are getting wider & opener day by day too. Back near Tucson, the ranger at Catalina SP said when the temps hit 91, say like tomorrow, the place will clear out. For next year, though, they are already booked through Feb., & March is filling fast. Yeeks!

Snow & freezing rain followed by mud awaits us in IL. It can wait!

Hi Sue,
Wells Fargo is the RV park right in Tombstone on Fremont Street. Tombstone RV Park is a little west of town. Tombstone Territories is about 9 miles west of town on Hwy 82. Sorry I had to track down the names again. Rolling out Friday morning for Roadrunner RV in Deming NM. We've been able to line up Passport America parks for our next 3 stops, save enough to buy a tank of gas or so.

We did go back to Tombstone today. Saw a comedy gunfight routine, rode the trolley around town, ate a late lunch and did a little shopping. Wanted to get a t-shirt but couldn't find any I really liked.

Marty sometimes you just have to stir the pot to get the post started. Would you mind keeping the his cold weather up your way, we were having Spring then in came the cold! We're planning a trip to AL where shorts and flip flops are the norm then our son called and said bring warm clothes and mud boots!
Dave you'll always be remembered for your Butte!
Have a great day Mutants
Trying but the Canucks keep blowing it all down my way....we have incoming snow predicted again tonight. All that sleet we had last weekend got termed a new name because it piled up and drifted like it's close cousin...they were calling it sneet.

Sneet? There must be some Mutants in that group. Mutants are the best at coining new words. You have my sympathy for the weather.
