Could be! More likely it's because they take a while to cook, & then as they sit in the pan they begin to set up.

The only way around that is to slice & fry it & serve w/ butter &/or syrup. That's a southern IL thing, prolly never caught on here. 😉 Add a little ghost pepper powder or a jalapeño or two, though....

How fun, Sue! Loved the tree in bloom. Especially since its snowing and we're expecting 2-3" overnight.

We picked up Clora Mae from the storage lot today. Had 2 problems needed fixing - the hot water heater wasn't working, and the fridge wasn't getting electrical current. VICTORY! Allen fixed both today. I'm so happy to have her home. We go on our first trip in her for a 3- day disc golf tournament in 11 days. Can't wait!

By the by... any recommendations on a small but powerful vacuum cleaner? The on-board one doesn't have much suction and leaves are an issue. Yes we do have the original carpet.

Sounds like Allen is a regular RV tech, except they would have taken two weeks and charged a fortune!

I'm assuming you've checked the obvious, bag empty, hoses not clogged. We have the on board vacuum made by Red Devil and it will suck the chrome off a bumper.

Yeah, I hear you on the snow. It is doing a little (love our new vocabulary) SNEET here in St. Louis. We get to wake Nemo up from its winter nap, and bring it over to the house to get ready for the first outing. Destination is Arrow Rock SP, Missouri for the weekend.

You must have had a joyous time! I know you've missed them something fierce. I'm glad all went well.

Sneet.... Yep we kinda share that weather sometimes, even though we're 3 hours apart.

Let us know how you like Arrow Rock! And take lots of pictures. I hope Nemo is in good shape when you get him home, no issues.

R U a mutant

We have landed at our camp hosting spot for the next few months. Made the trip back from Florida without any problems, spent Saturday night parked in front of DD house in Mattoon Illinois. Departed around 2:00, made 2 right hand corners to go around the block and the engine died. Cranked but would not start. Hmmm stopped in the middle of the street...
Used tbe Jeep and a couple of cables and got moved to curb. At the time was not sure what the issue was, so decided to tow motorhome with the Jeep back around the block and get it parked in front of DD house before the air pressure dropped. No way to tow from the front without damaging the fiberglass, so around we go backwards, two corners and park it along the street. Keep in mind no power steering. We made it without damage to anything.
Pondered the issue and decided to start with the easiest thing first. Replaced both fuel filters, let primer pump run a number of times, and she finally started... Whoot wooot. Drove it to Lincoln Trails State Park without issue.

Wow! Crazy story. Glad it was a pretty easy (and inexpensive) fix! We aren't usually that lucky, yanno?
