Sue, if you've got a decent Asian grocery store nearby, they carry pork belly in the meat freezer. The store here in Peoria sells them, at least. I've made roast pork belly for tonkatsu ramen a number of times from the pork bellies at that store. In fact I get my beef and pork bones for bone broth there, too, because they are cheaper.

My blisters have finally healed thank you.
Well it USED to be sticky. And green. But now since its been so long since Tim has done any mopping up in here, there's a layer of moss growing on the north side of the mop handle.

Sudzy, welcome to the menagerie!

Thanks, Charlene! I'll try the Asian groceries in Champaign. There are at least 3, probably more. I just stocked up on sticky rice and mochi last week at Am-Ko. Pork belly seems as good a reason to go back as any. 😎

Cheers!

Hey Deb, hope everything going well for you guys. Was just thinking of you two, as a matter of fact I had a Idaho potato the other night in your honor, the steak was the side dish.

Sudsy keep the water changed out in the mop bucket it can get kind of nasty around here. I'm Tim the kind, innocent, trustworthy, loyal and helpful mutant that everyone likes to pick on. If you have questions you can turn to me for clear, concise answers about just about anything.

Ooh, you've got 3? Hey next time Allen works the Champaign store, I will try to tag along and go hit those Asian groceries. Maybe if you're free, we can do lunch? Sushi?

Sudsy, don't listen to him. Especially the innocent part. However, in all fairness, I do have to admit that he can be all the other things. Occasionally. On like, gibbous moons.

I am sure glad my coach doesn't have a diesel motor. I don't understand them and they STINK. I w@#ed (caught myself!!) around jet engines for 37+ years and they STINK the same way.

Now, Check my signature for part 2.
Sudsy

Well, Sudsy, itís too late to take it back!
You are now RV Mutant #173!!!
You are now vested with all of the rights, privileges, and all other such stuff of RVMdom!
Being badgered and poked are part of what you can expect from now on.
All that being said, I congratulate you on your new stature!
DaveníOla RVM1

PS: my diesel does not stink. It simply has a pleasant aroma.

Welcome Sudsy, RVM 174.
I'm Wayne the lovable one and DW is Earlene.

When you get your RVM email be sure to reply and ask me for my theme song. It has been a long time since I have sent it to anyone.

BTW, pay no never-mind to Tim's ramblings. There were a few RVM numbers that slipped in after mine that were never suspected to be the way they are. After RVM-32 it started straightening out to nicer members.

Sit back, join in, and enjoy RVMDom.
