Today The Discovery hits the road again. A grueling 50 minute drive out through the country, past barns and pastures, cows and chickens and over the hill to The Lake! It's hoisting time again so time to get over and check on our regular campers to 1) catch up on their lives 2) see what their smoking (cooking). Over the years many have seen me waisting away and bring over offerings from their grills and smokers! I'm a gracious host and always accept!

I might remind you mutants that Richard came over last year and decided to make my rounds with me in the golf cart. Thinking he might enjoy the ride and to keep him busy I let him handle the clip board and mark down the numbers. It was a easy job, numbers were from 1-100 and the pace was slow. Everything was fine till that lady in the bikini came bouncing up toward us. Might I add really bouncing and somewhat In a bikini. The numbers took on an whole new order.

I was SPEACHLESS! His training gave me a whole new respect for what a camp host does... He was a true ambassador to welcome many visitors.

I hope to drop in again & maybe spend a couple days.

Smarty was born in 2011, but is labeled as a 2012. Geez it sure took them long enough to figure out they had a problem!

That or they forgot to install the magic smoke. What this time? My 2008 Prius got a recall to see if the floor mats were interfering with the gas pedal. There are WAY too many greedy lawyers in this country!

..... snip ....
I'm assuming you got to The Lake before ... hoisting ... time? Mary doesn't let you drink & drive, does she?

Cheers! Had to chuckle. (I know: paybacks ....)

BTW, I just read that Buff Orpington* hens are very sociable & make great pets. That's in addition to laying lovely brown eggs, of course.
.....
Neither "in shape" nor "nekkid". Sorry. Just brown. 😉 And I have no idea where Orpington is either.
