You can come over just for the halibut, you know, but I've already accepted my friend's offer of her walker. My surgeon actually recommended the walker for me because I'll be allowed to put a little weight on the heel. (Heck, I wanted the fancy-schmancy knee coaster thingy!)

Thank you kindly for the ommms & the offer. Feel free to come over, but I have a feeling you may be tired of driving just now, eh?

Cheers!
Thought I would offer the gadget to you.

Yes we were ready to be home after delivering the motorhome to the buyers in Connecticut. Had two nice meals with Carl.

We were blessed by the Lord by allowing us to traverse New York City safely in the motorhome on the way to Connecticut. Every single driver on the road was singled-minded in their desire to be in front of that dang motorhome regardless of the possible negative outcomes for driving like idiots.

Like the famous evangelist on TV was known to shout "heal".

For all of our mutants experiencing medical dilemmas I wish you a successful outcome. OHMS to all in need, be it physical and mental. May it be right in your souls.

Thursday between 11 & 2 CDT. I'll be fine; just send those ommms to the surgeon & the anesthesiologist, please. Oh and a few for Martin, too, since he'll be charged with waiting on moi hand & foot (cue laugh track) for a few days.

Bought a plain Jane walker yesterday, & today a friend offered me the loan of her bright red walker with folding seat. Oh, yeah! No contest!

Please remind Martin to keep us posted...... ohms for all

23 years ago my foot surgery let me quit using a cane, at age 45....
Glad I did it... love from Zee and Di

R U a Mutant

Thanks All......
Carol made it through the biopsy surgery. They were not able to remove the mass. Its a GBM tumor like Rep McCain, type 4 with a bleak outlook. The good news is no pain involved with this.
We need a break and will head home tomorrow.

Ommms continue for Carol & her family. It's such a blessing that there is no pain involved, but I share your sadness at her diagnosis. One feels so helpless in the face of it.

WARNING!!!

Those rolling walkers with seats can be dangerous after foot surgery. Triple check to make sure the brakes are engaged before sitting on the seat. I lost 1/4 of height after sliding off one onto the garage floor. Have you considered one of those knee scooters instead?

Ohmmms to all involved!

Thank you, Barb! I will be doubly careful. I seem to have become shorter all on my own, so don't care to repeat your experience.

Dr. recommended a walker, not a knee scooter, since all the work will be done on the forefoot & I'll be able to bear some weight on the heel. Using the heel should keep the calf muscles from weakening, although I didn't ask. (Being an old OT, I should remember some of this stuff.)

Cheers!

Thank you on my part. All prayers (ommms) gratefully received, and shared with others. My health issues pale in comparison to those of others.
