Have a happy, happy day Wayne. And stay away from orange barrels. I know Earline will make you something wonderful to celebrate. Enjoy!

Happy birthday Wayne.

We hit one of those barrels with the Dodge. The barrel lost....

Resting up for a few days in central Utah, then on to see friends in area of

Idaho Falls. Also to see Yellowstone and other parks in area.

I told her not to but she took me to "Dockside" on Ladies Island for some good seafood. She even paid the bill.

I don't know how I put up with her for 57 years. That is my side of the story.

Hey Charlene

If Clora Mae is 'popping at speed', it might be timing related or a vacuum advance shifting, possibly the distributor shaft is worn and 'wobbling'. They ought to also check the ignition wire routing to make sure wires for consecutive firing cylinders aren't running too close to each other. Older wires can sometimes cause an induction in an adjacent wire making the cylinders fire out of sequence. Then again, if it is popping through the carb, a sticky or poorly sealing valve may be letting some combustion 'fire' back into the intake manifold.
Just throwing a few things out there for your guys to check if they haven't already...

Not a professional mechanic, nor did I stay at a Holiday Inn last night...

Good points Dave, might I add you should check the oil!

Not a mechanic, but apparently checking the oil is important, my dad was always asking me if I ever check the oil on any of our farm equipment.

I might note that I'm the type guy that can turn checking the oil into a 3 day breakdown!

Happy Saturday fellow mutants!

Beautiful day today, mid 70's, low humidity (30's), blue sky, I'd say a great day for a ride

But first, go mow the lawn!!!
