Thanks for the story, Bill! It seems like eons since I slept in a tent. One of my comparable favorite memories is lying on a blanket one moonless August nite watching the Persis meteor shower with my then 16 year old daughter. We just talked and watched for shooting stars.

The simple times are the ones I hold most dear.

Yep. The only thing missing was the buzz of mosquitoes. (Guess that's a TX thang. )

I am, I am. Drank 2 or 3 glasses at dinner and so far two large tumblers in he MH.'

For those in the need to know we have been in some hot weather, like many others, and today was another one of those days of 96 degrees.

We pulled into the CG and I leveled and put the slide out. Then went out side to hook up. First elec. and then water. Figured I'd save the sewer for evening or morning cool weather.

Talk about sweat, well I can sweat when it is 30 degrees outside. I had to stop and Earlene got me some water. I know the symptoms of hypotension and stopped what I was doing. After 5 minutes I went back and connected the water line. Thar was as much as I could do.

Came inside and drank more water and also turned a fan on me After cooling down a little I took my blood pressure and it was 101 over 45. Nope didn't misread it.

Sat still for about 30 minutes cooling off, took a nice shower and waited for Earlene to get ready. Just before leaving I checked my BP again and it was 129 over 69.

A symptom of hypotension is dehydration. Been there done that a few times in my life and know when to stop and place my head below my hips or lay down and elevate the feet. That really helps fast,

Wayne, Wayne, Wayne - if you had just headed this way again you wouldn’t be fooling around with those nasty high temps. It was gorgeous here again today. Sunny and mid 70s.

I'm glad you listened to your body and didn’t put yourself in a dangerous situation.

Oh no it ain't sorry to say! Depends on the humidity here, the higher it is (especially when it has rained often), those devils will tear you up. In dry weather it's not bad.
Keep in mind too, just up the road is Minnesota, where the mosquito is the state bird.

Glad you caught that Wayne...
Been house sittin/ and Farm sitting last couple of weeks... had lots of ketchup to do here... NOw I'm wondering how long it is until Barb gets another shot, how Dale is doing now, if Sue is dancing yet, When Beverly is gonna sleep in her camper topper, and oh shoot... I can't remember everything else I read about... Well, except it strikes me that Di has worked really hard and fast and it's all happening so fast!
Next week should be my last surgery in Miami ( fingers crossed it is so) and I'll be on my way to better yet health. ( not that it has been awful or anything... but it can always stand improvement.) Good to see some folks show up that have not been on the thread for awhile. (Why is it they are both Canadian? What's up with that?) And that about does it for me! Ya'll be good at the curiosity. Play nice, etc. etc. Sad to miss it, but is a must this time. I'll check back in toward the end of next week sometime...lots to do to get ready.

I enjoyed your story, with or without the mosquitoes! I grew up on a farm, too.

I guess that maybe a visit to your place from the Kanukistanians may be in order. We surely will be passing relatively close by when we head south east after New Years.
