Aside from S'mores & potatoes cooked with the coals, there is a whole universe of foods we could try out.

Martin used to make "dampers", simple bread on a stick, similar to what Mother made w/ Bisquick. Tim has a Dutch oven, I believe, which can make all sorts of dishes (including a mean peach cobbler). Cooking in foil is another option, since we won't have banana leaves.

Is anybody game?
Have Dutch ovens will travel!

We "in" for Hobo Dinners. Two layers of foil, spray of Pam, large hamburger patty, sliced potatoes, sliced carrots, onion if you like. Fold it tightly and put it on the coals of a hot fire. Yum.

Sounds like we're on!

If we build a fire up early & let it burn down to a good bed of cooking coals, we can stoke it up again afterward for the evening's entertainment.

Are there pie irons available to share? We have 2 of those long-handled wire holders for steaks, fish, burgers, plus (of course) long hot dog skewers. A perforated grill rack (which we have) works for veggies, but will need a support rack (which we do not have). Kebabs -- we have more than enough bamboo skewers.

A thought: Line up equipment w/ appropriate suggestions for use, & some ingredients. Mutants pick & prepare what they want, maybe some will want to share equipment.

Before that, provide an info sheet, including time suggestions, so folks can plan ahead. Steve, can you & I do that?

Can ya tell I haven't had breakfast yet? Thinkin about foood!

Cheers!
