Which ones of those gizmos do you have? I've wondered about them.

Any newer TV has the ability to receive over the air channels without that box. That box was for really old TV's that don't know about the digital transition. If you still need one of those boxes, I'd suggest a new TV instead They got computers in them today!

Marty you may regale us with your input any time you wish. Presuming we have already been galed before, of course.

Does this mean that the Michigan GC has an other worldly theme?

Yes, and I’ve heard from a reliable source (conspiracy theorist friend) that those TV computers are capable of becoming listening and watching devices. 1984 is here and Big Brother is watching!

Marty,

Good to hear from you! Numb fingers? No fun I,m sure. I hope they wake up soon.

I have watched OTA (over the air) TV on my digital, but not computered TV. I bought one of these to record and pause OTA TV but haven’t tried it yet.

You are being recorded way more than you think, hiding in your RV out in the remote desert with zero connectivity to anything of modern technology *may* keep you hidden, but even that I doubt...

Actually, I'm very connected when in Quartzsite, but don’t worry about it. There are very few things I do that I wouldn’t want the world to see. I always figured that if you aren’t doing anything illegal, why should you care. And if a peeping Tom is watching me undress, he deserves the nightmares.

BTW, when driving south out of Q the highway goes thru the Yuma Army Testing Grounds. They have a tethered blimp on a 2 mile long cable and what looks like cameras on many hills. I always feel I'm being watched, but I exceed the speed limit anyway.

Barb, way too much wrong with that!

I'm not sure if the unit we buy will ever get the sat thingy hooked up.
Way to entertaining to camp without all the fluff and stupidity of television.

My TV isn’t even plugged in. Sena knows how to turn it on. I have too many projects that need finishing before I can waste time watching tv. I bought one of those OTA DVD recorders for Q last winter, but never opened the box.

Where's the Agree button when I need it!

(Altho if laid up, unable to knit or read, cook or sit under the stars, spin yarn or fold origami, kayak or build a fire ..., I might think about turning on a TV.)

Yay, Moose!

Wow Marty! I sure do hope you are quickly on the mend.

Yay, Moose!
I agree too!

The only TV I watch is over the air (OTA) so my selections are quite limited at the S&B. Florida on the other hand has tons of OTA selections due to the flat territory.

We are happy that you are somewhat happier, but wish you didn’t have the owie complications.
Please take good care of our dear Marty!
