We tried Satellite before and it just is not worth it for as much as we use the coach.
The only thing about OTA digital is most of it sits on the UHF frequencies so the need for a new antenna is really one that is more focused on receiving UHF over VHF. There's really no such thing as a "digital OTA antenna", that's just marketing to get people to replace whatever they had thinking it'll work "so much better".

I bought the batwing add-on that snaps on to the older batwing style antenna. It did help bring in additional channels and for the cheap cost of it, I'd say it's worth if if you like OTA TV. But prior to buying that add-on, I still got plenty of OTA digital channels.

Mohmmms that the hail damage is minimal. Hopefully nothing like GC#2.

Are you coming west to the Seattle area? It has never hailed on me and this is my 8th summer here. It's hot for these folks up here today. Temp got up to 85*. We're doing fine with those temps.

Thanks Carl!! Some of these stores tell you that you need this and that. I have seen that add on thing you mentioned so if i upgrade that is what I will get.

Alaska truly is a breathtaking place. Around every curve of the road there is a new beautiful panorama to enjoy. My favorite place to visit (4 weeks worth in 2013).

oh, I know about those... but I'd never get anything done if I had one. I am sure this old TV will eventually decide it's had enough and die, then I'll have to face that. My son and Daughter in law lived with us after they got married for awhile...had a big ol' honking smart TV. Thing never went off except when they slept, and then, sometimes, it played music.

TV's are so inexpensive now, if you have the coins. Otherwise they may be out of reach.

I now know why they call them smart tv's! The TV in our new to us coach will not let us hook up our old DVD player. Pretty smart, it will make you get a newer version.

It's not a matter of the coins. It's the principle. Things at my home are like my RV, lots of things it doesn't have that I don't miss, (most the time). Simpler is easier in the long run. I already have too much 'stuff' to get rid of when we downsize someday...

Yep! Long gone are the red/white RCA phono connectors on the newer electronics. Now they are COAXIAL or OPTICAL plus HDMI. Makes for some interesting work-arounds.

We have had a layover for a few days in the park we are in. It is more entertaining to watch people come and go. They set up and then break it down and go. Some are efficient, alot are not.
