You took the words right out of my mouth, Marty!

Di, my philosophy in life is that if you are on the right path, good things happen. This is just one more confirmation that you and Larry are headed in the right direction.

Figgers. Oh well. The river is pleasant too.

Yep, have wheels, can travel. Tampa is reachable.

Cheers!

Mom had plants, garden, flowers, on and on.
I followed her. Violets were my favorite!
But, we are way too mobile for that now, and pets too. But someday......

We use to plant about 3/4 acres with peas, okra, squash, beans, corn, tomatoes assorted peppers, onions, watermelon and kept a good size strawberry patch.

Now I just sneak over to my son's house and pick out of his garden! Hehe!

Lazy sod! Sneaky so 'n so! Smart cookie!

For some reason, a garden in the ground is a lot of work, while gardening in boxes doesn't seem like it. No room for a hoe, maybe, is that it? Less bending, less weeding, more like piddling around.

Our hummingbirds love the nasturtiums, & the pepper plants are well protected there, beginning to produce. After the squirrels cut off the Patio tomatoes once too many times to suit me, I finally put 2 of them into a hanging basket. (Tomato plants, that is, not squirrels.) Cross fingers!

It's all in your priorities, Bro!

What kind of violets? African, English, Sweet....? Single, double, picotee, ruffled....?

My grandmother specialized in African violets. All kinds. Like you, I followed her lead for a long time.

I like getting dirt on my hands and there is nothing you can buy that tastes like a home grown tomato. I even enjoy weeding. There is a great sense of accomplishment when you get rid of those nasty weeds.

One of my projects this summer is removing about 25 4’tall dead arbor vitea shrubs. The flippers who sold this house to my DD and SIL planted them to hide the front cliffs that are overgrown with blackberries and weeds. I got 4 out this evening. It would be easier if they had been planted correctly. Most are planted 8-12” too deep. I wonder why the died? Only about 8 more to go! They will be replaced with something else, that's still under discussion.

I ordered some grow bags from Amazon warehouse deals. I thought that would be a cheap way to plant a dessert vegetable garden. I don’t anticipate leaving AZ with any live plants. Where would I put them??? This should be fun!
