Can you tell Iím happy? It's taken 3 months to get this far. Then the last medical task is getting off the opioid pain medicine (Fentanyl) that Iíve been on for 12 years. That has me a bit scared. I have to go thru opioid withdrawal just like an addict would.

The timing has put the final nail in any hopes of making the Michigan GC. We'll just have to plan one in AZ next winter. I'm thinking early March.

Nola and I are soooo happy for you, Sis!
We know how much you wanted/needed this procedure.
Then you must go through a gauntlet, unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately.
Nola says you are the strongest person she has ever known!
I agree
Best of luck and love!
See you in AZ

Good luck with the nerve zap and withdrawals to follow. I will be very interested in how well it works. My wife has been on morphine for six years following a car accident and three surgeries

Dan, it's called Radiofrequency Ablation. They go in and zap the nerves that are triggering the pain. I've also had 3 back surgeries and a failed attempt at an implanted neurostimulator to control the pain. Before they will zap the nerves I had to go thru 2 trials with lidocaine to prove that it would work. It was really tough when the lidocaine wore off because I was close to pain free while it was active.

Here's some info. Maybe this could help Pam

Glad that you are making progress. Hope that everything works out all right. I am very familiar with dealing with long-term severe pain. Not fun.

I watched it ALL day and still missed it by seconds.
I feel like I've lost an auction on ebay.
(Regarding the coveted 77,777)

Getting that coveted 77,777 was harder than you would think. I saw it at 77,768 so I posted ďgoĒ then got a pop up window saying a post had to be at least 3 letters, so I posted ď go go goĒ then posted again ďdid itĒ and again pop up says I have to wait 30 seconds, I donít know how long it took me to read that so I try again and again get pop up says 7 seconds to go, so I try again, still 1 second to go. I thought surely somebody else got it by now, but WooooHooo I got it. Persistence pays off

Totally cheating! On one of the groups I follow for Nikons, there's a guy who's *really* into bug pictures. It's amazing sometimes, but he would *never* use a dead bug. Wow...
