Et Al: #171 checking in.

Grats on house selling, buying Rv's and feeling better, ohms for all that need it, or want it. Safe travels and healing to all!

I am happy to report that the Mackinaw Campground owner was very receptive to my re-requesting a non-electric site, which is also cheaper, (I dont need or want electric,) and closer to everyone else than the spot where they originally put me. (so the clerk I dealt with originally essentially was not truthful with me, in order to sell a more expensive site.) I did not complain about any of the former stuff, just restated my needs. Yay.

My departure from NY is being delayed by a minor surgery. I expect to be on the road on or by the 7th of September. I just need to get my platform and shelf installed in the shell. I'm nearly good to go!!!

I cannot wait to meet all my wonderful Muties!

I expect to check-in on the 17th!

So, having never attended a Mutie conference before, what should I bring?

See you there!

DW wants to get the rig out this weekend camping to relax after this ordeal. Strength has returned, and I think its doable.
Eyephoto Jon&Ellen I'm 146 checking in not 147...Give me a break I had brain surgery!
Glad to hear you are doing so well. Enjoy your return to the rainbow and listen to your wife more. The journey is the destination you know.
As a mutant just being able to prove you have a brain is a great thing.

We will probably have a potluck supper a few times (in the evening so muties can tour Michigan during the day). Ample warning will be given so you can visit a store for ingredients or a deli to buy your contribution. Note: we're not a fancy dancy group so good, tasty, and simple creations are what we like.

We will probably have a campfire meal one evening. Each mutie can fix their favorite camp fire meal. Each can make just enough for themselves or, if they wish, make enough for a few others to taste. Chuck has an over-the-campfire grill. Does anyone else have one they can bring????

We have a community building to gather in if the weather doesn't cooperate.

We will have campfires so a lawn chair might be on your "bring list".

I hope to have a virtual visit by our grand poobah so the opening ceremony happens on the night of the 18th. Does anyone have the knowledge necessary to broadcast the event on 3 or 4 ipads????

Yeah, yeah yeah, I guess that's going to be your excuse for everything, huh?

Note to others - this is not my 1st response to Jon's news. I've already sent Ohmmms. Now it's back to harassing and poking time.

Guess I’ll be adding to our desert acreage. In La Posa South those who get there first get the prime spots. Then you outline your area with larger stones. I guess we'll brave some of the last of the hot days hoping to get a prime spot.

We can have a long running desert Curiosity with Muties moving in and out all winter. I'm aiming for an early November check-in.

Y'all come on down! I have a dump barrel and water jugs so once parked you won’t have to move your rig. If you have solar for power it's sorta a high maintenance FHU site. Heck, I can even help you put solar on your roof or on a cable beside your rig. It's not as complicated as the sellers want you to believe it is.

Ed and Jackie - yahoo! Lily will be delighted to have Sheba to play with.

Beverly and all other ladies attending their first GC in Michigan. The traditional attire for opening night is a kimono. This started at the first GC when the Grand Poohbah teased us for weeks about "Opening the Kimono". We quietly conspired to surprise him by showing up in kimonos as well. You can usually find one in a thrift store or order them online.

https://www.amazon.com/USDisct-Elega...es+kimono+robe

You can find more choices by searching for "ladies kimono robe"

I hope the techies can come up with a way to make it happen. September 18th say 8:00 p.m.???? That would be neat.

At this point, I don't know of any potential muties that need to be anointed into the mutant brotherhood that night. But who knows, it could happen with the Lee's or the Culver's. They could be coer. . . ..d into joining this band of RV Mutant luna. . . . . . s.

I'm putting together a listing of "involved" mutants. Each attendee at the FEUMGC will receive a copy of the list.

I need the last names for some mutants . . . . . . 169, 31,22, 172,174 (is there a Mrs.), and 59. They could PRIVATE MESSAGE me their email addresses too.

I can't find a mutant name, a RVM number, and/or an email address for Herman's, Guy's, 169, 31,22,172,174,59, Ross's.

I know, I know, I'm a pita but a quick reference list would be helpful for several of us. Let me know if you don't want on the list. I might find out that it's a bad idea. Important only in my own mind.

Future distribution of this list will be by private message, email, or handed out at GC's only. No public blab of your info will happen.

I've looked at several and varied listings of mutant information and I've gone back 80 pages of R U a RV Mutant Too on iRV2 and found no help for this missing information.

If the rally room has a TV with HDMI I have my AppleTV with me. Anyone with the capability to "Airplay" can stream to it. Plug in the AppleTV connect HDMI cable to TV, plug it into power and it is ready to go. Any Apple iPad (2nd generation or newer) or iPhone can stream to it. Only need would be the internet connecto of iPad or iPhone to the other iPad or iPhone.

Dave, do you have iPhone or android?

Data usage using FaceTime is pretty demanding.
